Dr Jennifer Elfert takes care of both my parents and does an amazing job. She fit them with GN ReSound Vivia, best technology! They are hearing so well! As an audiologist, I highly recommend Dr Elfert to anyone NJ Hearing & Tinnitus Center! She takes care of my parents!

They primarily sell hearing aids—it’s not really a place focused on treating tinnitus. The appointment felt like scare tactics to pressure me into buying a hearing aid, rather than offering real strategies for managing tinnitus.

I left terrified that my tinnitus would never improve without an expensive device. But a year later—with better information, supportive guidance, and no hearing aid—I’m doing much better.

I know everyone’s experience is different, and I’m still relatively young, but if they’re going to call themselves a “Tinnitus Center,” I wish they offered more options than just hearing aids. That said, if a hearing aid is what you’re seeking, the staff were very kind and helpful—I just wanted to share my experience in case others feel the same fear I did.

I highly recommend the Hearing and Tinnitus Center. I developed tinnitus after an illness which totally freaked me out. I went to an ENT and could not get relief. Someone recommended Dr. Elfert (Jen) and I am so grateful. I travel an hour to see her for my visits. She is kind, compassionate and really knows her field. She fitted me with a hearing aid which has immensely helped with the tinnitus as well as my hearing loss in that ear. She didn’t just give me a hearing aid, she explained everything which calmed my anxiety and helped me to better understand living with tinnitus.

Dr Elfert is a competent, kind audiologist that has diagnosed and managed my hearing loss with superior skills. She tests and programs my aids to perform and give me the best hearing possible. I’m a long time patient and highly recommend her office.
