Pecora Joseph MD

As Christmas approaches, I am reminded to write a review of Dr. Pecora's practice. He is in Montgomery, New Jersey and I have been going to him for at least 20 years. In all that time, his practice has not been taken over by a large hospital system, so he is always available not only to personally diagnose problems, but to give advice on drugs and treatment for a variety of illnesses. His office staff is remarkable and is always ready to help. One cannot imagine a staff more prepared to kindly support the doctor or to render whatever assistance is needed. Dr. Pecora also makes hospital visits when those are needed. In addition, if special treatment is required, he has a number of doctors in other specialties that can cover the full range of medical treatment. In short, he is the quintessential family physician.

I have two doctors in my life that I will drive literally 2 hours to see for care. Dr. Pecora is one of them. I've been going to him since I was a teen (admittedly because that's where my parents took me, lol), but as I got older, I realized that finding care like this is pretty rare. He always takes an interest in my full health, listens sincerely when I have an issue, and is as invested as I am in looking for answers to my concerns. In all my time as his patient, he has never been cold, dismissive, or condescending, and I have never once felt rushed during an appointment. His practice truly has that "small town doctor" feel - where after many years, he knows his patients and their families well, and has a true personal interest in your health and well-being.

For many years, I was able to find competent and communicative specialists. Finding a primary physician, however, was a challenge.

Dr. Pecora (and his associates, who are also wonderful) are everything I wanted in a primary practice--they take the time to listen, encourage me to continue with specialists who have served me well (many family doctors almost seem threatened by them) and take the time to get to know my particularities. They are available by phone and have office hours which accommodate flexible scheduling.

They are currently managing my care as I await surgery. I must say that they are thorough, caring and professional--in a down-to-earth way that makes patients feel comfortable (and heard).

If you are in need of a comprehensive practice, I would not hesitate to recommend Montgomery Medical Associates.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Pecora for many years now, and we are so grateful to have found him. He and his kind staff not only provide excellent medical care, but are also very warm and kind, and make you feel genuinely cared for. Many times Dr. Pecora has been able to get to the root cause of issues that others have been unable to diagnose. With Dr. Pecora and his team, I know that I am always in good hands.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Pecora and the staff.
They have all been so "on top" of things with all my medical needs, both on the phone and through the Portal.
Dr. Pecora has even personally responded to my emails through the portal! This past Sunday, I asked him a few questions, and before the office was opened on Monday, he had already responded.Unlike some doctors, he is concerned for his patients and cares.
