Dr. Lipani is an exceptional surgeon. His chief operating officer & Clinical Nurse Manager, Kathy, is the most knowledgeable and helpful person that you would want to meet.
Dr. Lipani never rushes his appointments to get to another patient and will take as much time as possible to make sure that you fully understand your situation and explain the best possible options available.
He is a doctor that truly cares about his patients. Besides scheduled follow up appointments, he continues to check in with me weeks and even months after my surgery to ensure I am on the right path for recovery. His knowledge and experience are hands down the best doctor I have ever dealt with.
He certainly is one of a kind and I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with back issues.
I visited Dr. Lipani from across the country for a consultation after a total disk replacement at C5/6 that left me in debilitating pain years later. I had already seen numerous surgeons in my home state and the surrounding area only to be left with disappointing outcomes and little options for relief. Dr. Lipani reviewed my imaging from before my original surgery to present day, taking the time to answer any questions and explaining what he saw before advising what he believed my best course of action was. My husband and I felt informed and sure of our decision to schedule the revision surgery before we flew home the next day. Dr. Lipani's Chief Operating Officer & Clinical Nurse Manager, Kathy, took the reins and scheduled my surgery, coordinated care with my insurances and provided everything I needed to have my pre-op care completed at home in Nevada in under a month. Dr. Lipani and his team performed expertly to remove the old hardware and install my new device all while keeping my husband well informed over the four-and-a-half-hour surgery. After surgery, Dr, Lipani was available for any questions or concerns we had and accommodated my aftercare visits without requiring additional flights, though I would have flown a dozen more times to secure his services! Today I have relief I had given up hoping for and look forward to the opportunities a pain free life has to offer!
Dr. Lipani gave my husband his life back. At 65 years old my husband was living in constant pain. He was unable to stand up straight without shooting pain going down both his legs. When we went to our first appointment to meet Dr. Lipani, he gave my husband a thorough evaluation and asked my husband many questions. Dr. Lipani told my husband that his nerves were being compressed and why it was causing him to hunch over. He told us he needed a laminectomy. We left Dr. Lipani's office with his personal cell phone in case we had any questions that came up. Dr. Lipani sent us for more tests and said that he needed to see how stable his spine was because he did not want him to have to come back in the future for more surgery. Dr. Lipani explained all the test results in detail with us and answered many questions and fears we had. When we left, we understood why Dr. Lipani was recommending this surgery. Dr. Lipani said he knew the cause of the problem and was confident he could fix it. We were very hopeful when we left his office.
We were both very frightened to have spine surgery and almost backed out due to fear. When we called Dr. Lipani and said we needed more time, he sounded really disappointed because he knew that he could help my husband. We went back into his office and he spent a lot of time using models to make us fully understand what was going on and causing the pain and how he was going to correct it. He NEVER ever rushed us. He truly understands how hard it is for patients to make the decision for spine surgery. The surgery was long but went well. Dr. Lipani was very strict with my husband's recovery. He said we needed to treat it as having a broken back. My husband would call him to say he is feeling better and can he go in the pool. Dr. Lipani's answer was "No, this is when people usually hurt themselves." My husband has fully regained his life back. We are so grateful to have found such a skilled, compassionate and kind surgeon. Dr. Lipani is unlike any surgeon I have ever met and his nurse Kathy takes care of all the scheduling and billing for you. They are a dynamic duo. I would highly recommend going to Dr. Lipani. If it is for a second opinion, you will see from your very first visit the difference in the type of care you will receive.
I saw Dr Lipani in Feb for lower back pain that was limiting my ability to walk and carry my children. The surgery was scheduled promptly. Kathy his receptionist went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order. Dr Lipani made sure to communicate everything clearly and made me and my wife feel extremely comfortable with the procedure. After about 5 weeks of healing I am back to walking around like I never had a back pain or a surgery. Going to Dr Lipani was the best decision I made. Both he and Kathy go above and beyond to make you feel confident you are in great hands with them.
Dr Lipani is one of the best neurosurgeons in the world. I was lucky to find him in 2018 when I couldn't move my neck. He replaced 3 discs and I have been great ever since.
In December of 2022 I fell down stairs at a church and broke my back. The hospital sent me home to heal and after two months in bed it had gotten worse, the vertebra compressed and a piece of bone was moving into my spinal column. I was in danger of being permanently disabled and again called Dr Lipani. Kathy immediately retrieved my medical records and sent them to Dr Lipani. I was in the office the next day and he spent over an hour explaining what he had to do to prevent any further damage and give me my life back.
I am 7 months out now after a 7 vertebra spinal fusion and am doing well. Still doing PT and healing, but I can now do most normal things in life. This is the second time Dr Lipani gave me my life back. I wouldn't think of letting anyone else do such a serious surgery.
Dr Lipani is not only brilliant, but kind, compassionate focused and always puts his patients first. He even gave me his cell phone number to call anytime. He always got back to me. Kathy, his office administrator is awesome as well. She had my surgery reapproved in a couple of days and keeps on top of everything.
I would highly recommend Dr Lipani. There is nobody I would trust more.
