I had a four level DiscSeel procedure performed on my neck by Dr. Wiederholz two months ago. I spent many hours trying to find some options other than a multi-level fusion, as I'm still young, very active, and have concerns on the potential longer term complications of multi-level cervical fusion. While the DiscSeel procedure still doesn't have complete support, I decided it was worth trying if it could potentially help. My recovery was much easier than I anticipated, I was back to light weight training in 10 days. The nerve pain in my arm is noticeably less frequent and on days I am having pain, it is substantially less intense. My insurance would not cover the procedure, but if the short term results are an indicator for the potential longer term success, it will be worth the money and time. Hopefully enough success with this procedure will start to force the insurance companies to cover this in the future.

Dr Wiederholz, and his team, were excellent to work with at every phase of the process. He took the time to talk with me in advance to answer all of my questions, didn't rush me, and on the day of the procedure, again, took his time with me to be sure we were in sync on all the details before, and for after the procedure.

From the very beginning, Dr. Wiederholz and his team have been outstanding—professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Their follow-up and attention to detail are exceptional. I met with Dr. Wiederholz in person this morning before my surgery, and he was very kind and took the time to walk me through what would happen during my Discseel procedure. Now, about five hours post-procedure, so far so good. I’m truly grateful to have found Dr. Wiederholz and his wonderful team.

Dr. Wiederholz has treated me for various joint and nerve pain issues over the past ten years. He is thorough with his medical analysis and offers minimally invasive treatment options. He listens to his patients and has a pleasant and caring manner about him. He has just treated me yesterday for shoulder pain and already I have more range of motion in the shoulder. I highly recommend his services!

In the fall of 2024, my left hip and back had bad pain, I had trouble walking and could not lie flat in bed. After having imaging tests, Dr. Wiederholz consulted with me and suggested Disceel for my problems. In December 2024 he performed a Disceel procedure on my lower back discs. By following his post procedure instructions, in a few weeks I was feeling much better with only some minor pain, walking much better, and could lie almost flat in bed. After a few months, I now have no pain at all, can walk normally, and can lie flat in bed in any position. I highly recommend Dr. Wiederholz and the Disceel procedure!!

It is now November 2025 and I'm still feeling good with no pain from my left hip and back. The Disceel procedure has worked well for me and is still working well. I highly recommend it. In March of 2025, my right hip gave me some pain from arthritis. Dr. Wiederholz gave me a PRP injection in the right hip which reduced the inflamation and enabled me to walk much better. The hip started to bother me a bit again in May and I got a second PRP injection which worked well. It is now November and I can walk well anywhere and for any amount of time without pain.

I highly recommend Dr. Wiederholz for treatment of any joint pain. He has provided me with expert diagnosis and appropriate minimally invasive treatments for various ailments that I have had over the years!

I’m 53years old from New Jersey.
I was suffering cronic lower back pain in the last 20 years,
I’m really tried everything
Physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractors,
Pain management,
Many MRI-s
Several injections.
I visited many doctors to find the right solution,
Year by year I had to stay out of work more and more time, stay in bed several times, for weeks sometimes for months every year. Different spine specialist suggested me, my only option a disk replacement on L5-S1.
I tried to avoid that, and I just recommend everybody if it is not necessary try to avoid back surgery, there are other solution.Unfortunately that time I didn’t know about it.

I started my research and
realized this is it, I was looking for 20 years!
Not many doctors doing this procedure, and the company in Texas, what is not an issue to me to go there. Luckily I find I think one of the best, Dr Matthias H. Wiederholz, who is a master instructor of Discseel non surgical spine treatment, the only treatment what treat, not the problem, instead what causes the problem.
I called Performance Pain&sport medicine, and
I made a telemedicine appointment with Dr Wiederholz.
On the appointment I got what I expected,
He was very kind, professional, and explained everything according my MRI, what is my real problem and what he going to do if I go with discseel procedure,
He answered detailed of my every question.
He is operating in Huston Texas, but he has an office here in New Jersey also, where he did my Discseel procedure just yesterday, on April 9.
During the last month his staff was very polite , both helpful, and lovely on every phone call and emails,

and Loan, the Discseel Liaison, she always give me an extra phone call or emails how I’m doing.
On the day of the procedure I meet first in person Dr Wiederholz, he was helpful and kind to explain everything what he going to accomplish during the procedure.
I visited many doctors in my life I had many different surgeries, but my personal convictions
Dr Wiederholz truly cares about his patients and wants them to be able to return a quality of life without surgery.
I got local anesthesia, so during the procedure he give me constantly information what he is doing, and he was able to asked me how I feel. He was so professional and tried to do everything cause me less pain as possible.
He treated me at my lumbar area 4 leaky disk as he explained me after the procedure, and also give me Planet Rich Plasma(PRP) to the facet joints and muscles of the lumbar spine as there is atrophy of muscles and arthritis in the joints.
Everything took less than an hour. After I stayed in the recovery room another hour, and I was able to go home.
One day after the procedure, I have some increased sour pain also in my legs and lower back , but this is normal the first couple days.
Dr Wiederholz already e-mailed me how I’m doing.
Today his office called me from New Jersey, and also Loan the discseel Liaison from Huston, how I feel after a day.
The staff at the medical facility, where the procedure was done, were so lovely as well. I cannot recommend Dr Wiederholz enough to anyone with disk problems because I feel he is the most experienced in the field.
I will try to give a review every two months, how I am doing with my recovery for the next one year.5⭐️+!
