I graduated from HNH SON RN class of 2000, so grateful for the support of amazing Sister Claire Tynan, teachers, staff and my peers at the time.
Sr.Claire was an angel, always will be💕. I was Blessed and extremely lucky to have known her.
I had amazing teachers in the PN (Mrs. Lyons🩷, VanO), as well as the RN program. My time here prepared me for the world, everyone was extremely supportive, kind and generous.
The best Nursing school in my opinion, experience.

I graduated Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in 2000. Sister Claire was there leading the way for all of us soon to be RN’s! I can’t say enough about the time I spent in Nursing School. They were the best of days. Even though I am no longer in touch with the friends I made there, I will never forget them. And to the staff who taught me so much, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the fond memories you gave me. It was tough, but nothing great comes easy! If you are thinking of a career as an RN, I highly recommend Holy Name!

All nursing schools are hard! All want and teach you to be critical thinkers and self motivated. All nursing schools are different in the way they teach. Most require a lot of self teaching or require a lot of independent working. If not, how will you survive being a nurse?! Private schools do operate slightly differently than public schools and that can be beneficial in some ways but obviously financially will cost more. I think considering all nursing programs are meant to be difficult the reviews given aren’t all that fair or close to my experience here. There’s always room for improvements, however the staff is caring and very family oriented. As long as you communicate in a timely manner they will always try to make accommodations if it’s something they can or are allowed to even do.
