Square One Kids Academy

My daughter has been going to Square One for a couple of years, and I can't recommend it enough. The teachers and staff there are excellent, and the school is immaculate. They do so many great extracurricular activities throughout the year (especially in the Summer) in addition to the regular curriculum, which is great. My daughter absolutely loves it and my son will be going there next year. Highly recommend!

My son has been attending Square One since he was 7 months old (he is 3.5 now). I cannot say enough good things about this school. My son, who is naturally a bit shy, shines thanks to all of the amazing teachers he has had here. The teachers and staff are incredible. You can tell they really care about the kids and they create programs that are age appropriate. I genuinely feel like my son has learned a ton from Square One and that they foster his love of learning and play. We actually need to leave the school as we are moving more than an hour away and I am devestated! I will miss it so much. What Ms. Felicia and the team have done is incredible. If you are looking for a school that is clean, safe, has an amazing circulum and where your kiddo will be happy, make friends and feel loved, then this is the place you want to be. Thank you Square One for everything - we will miss you so much!!!

As a parent, the idea of leaving your child with total strangers is completely daunting. Touring about 8 different preschools/daycares in the area, I’d like to say that I’ve done the hard work for you, because I would choose Square One Kids Academy 10 times over any other that I have looked into.

My family’s experience at Square One has been 5 star. Feeling respected and like we are part of a family, we are always greeted with a warm welcome, smiles, and hugs. It’s clear that the teachers genuinely care about the children and love their jobs. My son’s smile says it all as he enters the classroom in the morning, and when I pick him up at the end of the day.

As a first impression, walking into the school, it is immaculately clean. The atmosphere is bright and happy with its welcoming hallways. The décor and paint colors are fresh and up-to-date, and each holiday is celebrated with decorations and a special touch of the children’s talented artwork. The grounds are well-maintained and are utilized for the children to play when the weather is nice. The playground in the rear of the school is fun, safe, and securely fenced-in.

Ms. Felicia, the Director of the school, is surely a great judge of character, as all of the teachers at Square One exude positivity, great energy, and quality attributes that I’d want my son to look up to and emulate. They are genuinely kind, caring, and have gotten to know my son for who he is and what his little quirks are; making me feel comfortable to know that they understand how to treat him and tend to him in any given situation.

Communication is always readily available, and quickly responsive; whether communicating with Ms. Felicia, or the teachers themselves. Email, and by phone, are immediate ways of communication, while an app the school uses keeps us parents abreast on all the day’s activities, direct messages and notices, photos throughout the day, and summaries of what the children have been up to. This gives peace-of-mind, as I go about my day, wondering if my son is doing ok.

When first meeting with Ms. Felicia, I got a complete relaxed tour of the school. All questions and concerns were addressed. Ms. Felicia is super sweet, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. The love she has for all of the little ones shows as she engages with them; even just passing by her office door to say hello and goodbye. Because of the care she has, she runs a tight ship. The doors to get in and out of the school are locked and secure, with no one being allowed to enter without the staff knowing. Square One’s strict policies are certainly in line with my high standards.

All classes have a curriculum and a routine to follow throughout the day. It is not a free-for-all of rambunctious kids. I punch a time-clock from the moment I enter the school, to the moment I leave the school. This structure keeps all of the children obedient and on a schedule.

With that, what I particularly noticed when first touring, was that every child sat nicely during a story time session, and they were calm, attentive, and under control when walking in a line to another part of the school.

Square One is clearly honing quality kids for life, not just babysitting children. The activities planned are different every day, keeping them engaged and looking forward to returning each day, as my son does.

If you’ve gotten this far in reading my review, bless you! In my opinion, you will not be disappointed in choosing Square One Kids Academy for your child’s care. As a first-time parent, everything I have mentioned was very important to me in deciding on care for my precious boy; as it was a tough decision to choose to separate from him for a few days a week. I thank the entire staff at Square One for making the transition easier, for both me and my son, and for the love and care they give him and his little friends each day. It is genuinely appreciated by my family and myself. We love our Square One family!

We have had the most amazing experience at Square One! After having a not so great experience at another day care, we were hesitant to give another day care a try. We went to the open house at Square One Kids Academy and immediately had good vibes from the cleanliness of the building, the friendliness of the staff, and the discussion with the director, Felicia. We started our son 2 weeks later and it has been the best decision we could have made. The infant teacher, Mrs. Hajrie, is literally a blessing. She is the sweetest woman and genuinely loves the children as if they are her own. We feel so safe and secure knowing he is in good hands. So happy we made the transition.
