Had a delightful stay at Ampersand Inn! The greenery that surrounds the Inn creates a peace and tranquility that is felt as soon as you enter the roomy parking lot. The Inn feels cozy, but communal, elegant but relaxed. Rooms are spotless, well-appointed, and with comfortable and luxurious beds. Innkeeper Irene is sharp, attentive, and has a deep knowledge of New Jersey and how to best spend your time in the area! She and her team also make an incredible breakfast with many delicious options. We left very full and very satisfied. Any time I am anywhere near Newton New Jersey, I will stay there. Thank you Irene and team! What you've created is pure magic.
The Ampersand Inn was everything we were looking for and more. It was quiet, beautiful, and incredibly relaxing. The rooms were spotless, super comfortable. The fireplace added such a cozy, special touch to our stay. Irene, the owner, is truly wonderful and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her hospitality really sets this place apart. We woke up to a homemade quiche Lorraine (family recipe) that was absolutely outstanding - honestly the best I've ever had.
Every detail felt intentional, and the entire experience was warm, peaceful and memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Ampersand Inn to anyone looking for a charming and comfortable getaway.
We stayed here for my Daughter's wedding with her fiance's family. This place is perfect for families to be together without being on top of each other. And with Irene's personal touch it was like we were staying with family.
My husband and I were looking for a quick overnight stay not too far from home this past week, and we stumbled upon the Ampersand Inn!
What an absolute gem in Sussex County!
The owner/innkeeper is so friendly, helpful and SWEET! She truly cares not just about her guests, but EVERYONE! She is an Angel in disguise.
The Inn is homey and comfortable and she makes you feel like family coming to visit!
We will surely be back again and again!
I stayed at the Ampersand for the first time last week, and I will definitely stay there again. The room was clean and comfortable. The owner Irene was very pleasant and accommodating. When I asked for a diet coke, she brought several to my room. The breakfasts were very filling and delicious. The Ampersand has a very homey and friendly atmosphere as though I ware staying at the Shady Rest Hotel on Petticoat Junction. I stayed in the handicapped room, and it suited all my needs. Thank you so much Irene, for making me feel so welcome. I will be back again.
