Out door, on the docks, seafood cornucopia! Great food. Fantastic views. Friendly staff. (It's order at the window and they deliver the food to you). The steamers were huge. The Cajun spiced fish was fantastic. Didnt get lobster this time, but they have weekday lobster specials. I'm going to have to come back for that.
Such a great 'summer nights in Jersey" kinda place.
We got there early, like 6pm. It filled up and people waiting in line when we left

My friend always wanted to try the boondocks not realizing much about it. The scenery is beautiful so try to sit by the water. Expect almost an hour wait but there’s places to sit by the water or across the lot they have benches. You order and pay for your food at the counter and they bring it to the table. My friend ordered a lobster quesadilla and she said it was ok. My other friend ordered the cold fish platter and left hungry. It was one claw and half a body of a very tiny lobster, a few shrimp and french fries. My food wasn’t good at all. I ordered blackened grouper and it was an oil slick. I had to paper towel off as much of the oil as I could. The best part of the meal was the arugula and tomato salsa and the guacamole was very good and it was $17! .
Idk if they broil food I should have asked . It gets confusing when you get to the window to order. The young girl taking our order barely spoke to us, she just stared like a zombie lol
The entrees are 25+ and you don’t get much. There’s much better food in the area so I won’t be going back to the boondocks. It was worth a try and the setting is very pretty 🤩 🦞 🦐 🌮

The Boondocks Fishery is a lovely spot for a summer meal right on the water. You can enjoy views of swans and yachts while sitting in a cozy outdoor gazebo. The lobster and soup were really tasty and fresh. Everything is in a simple, country-style atmosphere — very casual and laid-back. Don’t expect any fancy service or table setting, it’s more like a rustic seaside shack vibe. Also, keep in mind they only accept cash.

Memorial Day traveling and dinner searching came across the Fishery. While arriving shortly before close time, we were exceptionally grateful that they were still seating. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The Lobster dinner portions are quite impressive. The coconut shrimp was so tasty. The view at night is gorgeous.

We enjoyed the outside dining , marina side with a few other tables at 3 pm on 8/27/24.
    Steamers were big but tasty.
Salmon over Cesar salad was a generous portion.
I had the best cold lobster roll of the summer!

My friend said the 2 lobster special is also very good.

I have been there about once a yr for several and a great choice when in Red Bank.
Cost was $50 per person for linner.

Looks like they overcharged us for advertised steamers on their menu board & was not realized until after we left.

A great meal after kayaking the navesink!
