The Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast

I love this place. My wife and I have been here 3 times and can’t wait to go back again. My goal is to spend a weekend in each room. The hosts are wonderful. The breakfast and baked goods are wonderful. The location, right on the Barnegat Light inlet, is walkable to many of the restaurants and shops in Barnegat Light.

We truly have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay at the Sand Castle Bed & Breakfast in LBI! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The property is cozy, spotless, peaceful and beautifully maintained. You can tell right away how much care and pride Audrey and Brian put into every detail.

Even before we arrived, the level of customer service was clear—Audrey communicated so thoughtfully and made sure we had everything we needed. When we pulled up, Brian greeted us at the car, offered to help with our bags and gave us a tour of the property, which immediately made us feel right at home.

Breakfast each morning was delicious and beautifully presented—truly one of the highlights of our stay. Dinner next door at Kubel’s was a fantastic surprise as well! Although we visited in early November and didn’t get to use the pool, I'm sure it is lovely to look out over the beautiful backyard when in season. The fitness area and complimentary bikes were such nice touches too.

Talking with Audrey and Brian was such a treat—they are both so friendly, kind and genuine. It’s clear they love what they do and it shows in every part of the experience.

We can’t wait to come back and will absolutely recommend the Sand Castle to others. Thank you for making our first trip to LBI such a special one!

My husband and I stayed here in August! Everything was superb. Breakfast was awesome, room was great, and the pool and other amenities excellent! I can’t say enough kind things about the innkeeper, Audrey. She made our stay special!!

From the moment I booked my stay, the service at the Sandcastle Bed and Breakfast was exceptional. Audrey, the Innkeeper, was incredibly attentive—not just to my needs, but to all the guests as well.

The property was spotless and carried a charming coastal vibe. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax, and the views from all around the property were stunning. The heated pool was clean and inviting, and several guests enjoyed the complimentary bicycles available for use.

The breakfast and afternoon snacks were absolutely delicious—truly a highlight of the experience.

We stayed at the Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast for our honeymoon and had an absolutely wonderful time. It's hard to choose the best part—the breakfast each morning was out of this world, our Beachcomber room was incredibly comfortable, and even with a week of rain and fog, there was no shortage of things to do.

Since we took our honeymoon a year and a half into our marriage, we decided to renew our vows, and thanks to the incredible kindness of the innkeepers, it became a truly special moment. Brian and Audrey went above and beyond to make our renewal ceremony unforgettable—Audrey provided us with a beautiful bouquet and sparkling cider, while Brian officiated on the rooftop. Their warmth and hospitality made our trip feel magical, despite the weather.

We're already looking forward to returning in the summer to fully enjoy the pool and rooftop under sunnier skies. In the meantime, the cozy lounge, endless games, books, puzzles, and thoughtful amenities ensured that every moment was enjoyable. The plush robes, 24/7 tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, delicious food, bikes, and even the beach towels and chairs made us feel completely taken care of.

Sand Castle truly offers everything you could want in a getaway, and we can't wait to come back! This was hands-down the best experience we've ever had at a place we've stayed, and we wouldn’t change a thing.
