In December our company celebrated the holidays with an overnight retreat at The Mayflower. From the first arrival to the final departure, the level of care, thoughtfulness, attention to detail, kindness, etc. was extraordinary. Far beyond the beautiful venue, wonderful accommodations, memorable spa treatments, and delicious food, what I’ll truly remember most were the constant smiles I saw from everyone staff member with whom my team and I interacted. We felt remarkably welcomed and genuinely cared for. Our events were well-planned and flawlessly delivered. The Mayflower is a truly special place - and those who work there are a truly special team. Many thanks!

Exceptional hospitality at it's finest. If you want to be spoiled, look no further. This is the place to go. We were surprised and delighted with countless examples of thoughtful attention to detail. We loved exploring the grounds and gardens, indulging at the spa, and settling into cozy nooks with books and games. The restaurant and bar nourished us throughout our stay. We can't wait to go back and experience this magical place through all the seasons.

Recently spent a night at the beautiful Mayflower Inn and spa. When we arrived, our room was not ready and we had to wait in the lobby for an hour and a half, so we didn't get to our room until 5:30 PM. Our room was beautiful and we had a cozy fireplace.

At the Mayflower the service is always wonderful. However, some of the spa area needs an upgrade. The steam room doesn't get super hot and the showers are a bit dingy. I noticed the towels are even tired.

I feel that the cost of a nightly stay is too high and the spa services are $$$ - over $300.for a facial is ridiculous.

The restaurant is "good," but again, too overpriced for what is offered. Breakfast was disappointing. My dinner was delicious, but my partner's piece of sea bass was miniscule.

I think the setting is beautiful, and the hotel is still quaint and very comfortable. The spa and restaurant need more attention.

What a wonderful stay! The service, food and spa are top notch; the location is beautiful and the area has a lot to offer. The chef, Luke, told us he arrived there 3 months ago and boy, has he hit the ground running! He is a really friendly, down-to-earth guy and his food is phenomenal! Our server, Brandon, went above and beyond to create a special dining experience. With him, you’ll be in good hands. His knowledge of food in general, recommendations for dishes, and suggestions for possible modifications to dishes all bring the dining experience to the next level! Layla and Eric at the front desk go above and beyond with their friendliness, ability to anticipate needs, and attention to detail. I was very impressed with this hotel-and that’s saying a lot, because I’ve stayed in many hotels/inns all over the world! Go to this magical place-you won’t regret it.

A small suggestion for the restaurant:
A place of this caliber should offer fresh squeezed orange juice or another quality orange juice, not whatever Minute Maid grossness is being offered at $10/glass. Sorry, but true :)

The spa treatments were incredible. I did a 90 min Thai Massage and felt like a million dollars in a zen cloud. That was the ultimate. Then relaxing in the whirlpool / hot tub? Bubbles weren’t working : / but it was a beautiful room with lots of plants and cool tile plus the water was outrageously hot which was so nice to relax in. The steam sauna and lap pool were a perfect day as we had rain and grey skies. Actually it was just grey out but the outdoor pool wasn’t open : / so the sauna and hot tub made up for it. Plus there is a cedar sauna a few steps away from the spa overlooking a pond you just have to reserve a half hour. The rooms and deco was a bit antiquated New England style for my liking but the service and beautiful landscape was worth it. Lots of amazing restaurants are near by and the women at the front desk were most helpful in getting us reservations in town every night and they were great dining experiences. To summarise, the spa and wellness center were very nice and worth it.
