Tick Tock Diner

The menu is typical diner menu with breakfast lunch and dinner items served all day. We chose to have breakfast and it was excellent. The coffee was piping hot and frozen and chilled drinks were ice cold. We did have to ask for more coffee and waters versus having service anticipate our needs before we even knew we had them but that’s hardly a negative. The eggs, pancakes, hash, hash browns, meats, sauces and pastries and toasts were all exactly what you’d expect from a top notch breakfast. We found ourselves eating more of what we ordered than we should have because it was done so well. I assure you that their motto of “Eat Heavy” is what you’ll do on your own not something they’re telling you to do. If you want classic diner food this is it. The atmosphere needs an update. The lighting was too low and the vibe felt more cafeteria than fun diner but the food itself did not disappoint. Would easily recommend breakfast though can’t speak to the burgers or pastas or sandwiches which looked good.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Maria, who has been serving customers at the TikTok Diner for many years. She truly puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Her service is always beyond excellent — warm, attentive, and incredibly professional.

Just take a look at the gingerbread latte she made (pictured) — it says everything about her level of care. She’s meticulous, creative, and genuinely takes pride in her work.

Maria isn’t just a great waitress; she’s a wonderful person with an amazing attitude. Every visit with her feels welcoming and personal. TikTok Diner is lucky to have her, and customers like me appreciate her more than words can say.

Exactly what you'd expect from the diner, nothing was amazing but generally solid and the portions are generous. The chicken sandwich was a little lacking in flavor and also a bit dry.

The fries were hot and crispy and the gravy and cheese were nice additions. Though it did make certain fries a little soggy.

Prototypical diner food with nice interior decor. The burgers were typical thick cut diner (saltier side IMO) with fries. We got the spicy chicken wings which felt like it was sitting out for a while as it wasn’t hot (temperature wise) or crispy. The inside interior seems very modern and clean. There’s also a full bar with bar seating if you choose to dine solo.

This place is classic NJ diner status. Shiny chrome doors and paneling, cheery smiling wait staff and the smell of fresh brewed coffee. I haven't been to NJ lately so I had to get my Taylor Ham fix. So I ordered the breakfast plate "The Mick Jagger". It consists of a Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwich on a brioche bun with a side of disco fries (crispy fries covered in mozzarella cheese laying on a pool of gravy. Everything about this plate is perfect. I also had a side of corn beef hash and delicious coffee served in matching silver chalice. Ahhhh the Garden State.
