The Trenton Country Club has hosted the Mount Carmel Guild Gala for many years. We are and have always been so thrilled with their service, the delicious menu and the thoughtful staff. TCC provides an elegant setting for our major find raiser. Beth Smith and the staff are so awesome to work with and plan an event. Our over 260 guests had a lovely evening and a delicious dinner. Thank you
I had my daughter's bridal shower at the Trenton Country Club last weekend and it was wonderful. Beth, the event coordinator, was always helpful and assured me (more than once) regarding the food as I had two celiacs and two gluten sensitive guests. The food was very good and I received many compliments from guests regarding the food and the club itself. Beth went above and beyond (even offered to drive to pick up the desserts that were missed when my pickup person was not given the entire order). The staff was also very friendly, helpful and on top of everything. I cannot recommend this place enough -you will not be disappointed!
This country club is rich with history. Clay tennis courts are amazing. The staff is courteous and the facility is spotless. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.
Melanie - party coordinator at Trenton Country Club - did a fabulous job implementing our vision for my daughters baby shower on 4/30/23. The room was perfect, the staff attentive (even with our weird request to put babies frozen in ice cubes in the water glasses for the "my water broke game"), and the food was delicious. Everything was very organized from the room layout sent to me a week before the event, to the timing of lunch, games, cake, etc. I would absolutely have another event there.
This review is WAY overdue but totally necessary.
I could not imagine having had our wedding AND reception anywhere else. We worked, from day one until the wedding day, with Richard Portney, and I truly believe from the bottom of my heart that if you don't have Richard to work with for your wedding day, then you're nowhere near as lucky as we were.
Richard started our meetings off telling us how dedicated he was to making our day the best it could be, without us having to do much - because we should be able to enjoy our day. When I say he went ABOVE and BEYOND that role, I am not kidding.
The venue itself is beautiful. It's homey, and quaint ... the grounds are well taken care of ... the staff is amazing. Beyond that, it's a place where everyone truly cares. The day of our wedding, the ceremony was scheduled to be outside. It was a visibly GORGEOUS Autumn day ... blue skies, colorful leaves - AND, record breaking winds (figures, something has to go wrong haha). My husband (then fiance) built us a heavy-duty wooden wedding "Arch" to get married under, and it was beautiful. Three times before the ceremony began, it FELL OVER! Richard took it upon himself to go outside, and secure it into the ground so it wouldn't happen during the ceremony.
Before the day began, Richard was doing his final walk through of the venue to verify everything we had asked was done (because details are 120% his thing!), and he found that the wrong color chair covers were delivered (white instead of ivory), AND the vendor delivered them a wrinkled mess. Without even BLINKING, Richard got it taken care of (and, might I add, I had no clue this happened until AFTER the wedding) - we had crisp, clean, ivory chair covers and tablecloths like nothing had ever happened.
My florist delivered our centerpieces, and our bouquets and the bakers delivered our cake. They came at two separate times, so the greenery I wanted on our cake wasn't put on. HAVE NO FEAR, Richard looked at the photos I had given him ahead of time and saw it needed to be done, and did it himself!
My DJ got stuck in traffic on the way to the venue ... again, without even blinking, Richard took it upon himself to talk to the staff and keep our guests entertained in the cocktail hour space, while the DJ got set up, and it was like nothing happened.
Richard was there, every step of the way, from the beginning to the end of the evening (I mean, even as people were leaving - and then, the next morning for clean up). Everyone who met him, adored him, and saw how hard he worked. I'm telling you - the venue was beautiful, and amazing, and everything we had hoped for, and the food was delicious ... but, Richard made it the "flawless", most amazing day and we could NOT be more grateful.
If you're considering TCC for your wedding, I will ALWAYS recommend it ... and I will ALWAYS remember Richard as such an important part of the success of our wedding day.
