Had a wonderful dinner here with my husband, really great food and cocktails! We had some oysters and the mussels for appetizers, and salmon and crab cakes for entrees. Everything was so delicious, we ate every last bite. Definitely a bit loud on a Saturday night, but we still had a great time.
We’ve been coming to Barnegat Light for 4 years and like to stay in town and eat. We keep giving this place a chance and have awful experiences every-time. The service isn’t warm and friendly and we never see a manager checking on anyone. Had to send our NY steak back twice- ordered medium and came raw then came out rare again - the kitchen barely replated the steak and just scraped the little mashed potatoes into a pile and threw the cut up steak back on top. If a guest has to send back a 43 dollar steak twice a manger should be aware and check in. Wish this place would get its act together and have a friendly warm environment with good food. We won’t be returning.
Food was great! Loved the strawberry shortcake and the eggplant. Cocktails were creative as well
Service was a bit weird. Food runner dropped the food offf without appropriate condiments or checking that we had utensils
A bunch of friends went out to dinner, 8 total. We split a bunch of appetizers, and ordered more food than we needed. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating, attentive but not overbearing. They let us enjoy ourselves but were quick with drinks. Food was well prepared and plated with flair. The facility was moderate; comfortable for a wide range of clients.
Daymark offers the perfect blend of quality seafood dishes with an incredible ambiance. Situated near the Barnegat Lighthouse and wrapped with large windows bringing in plenty of natural light, Daymark offers a certain feeling of comfort as soon as you step inside.
The manager, Brandon, was charming and familiar with the menu. He brought his favorite recommendations for food and suggested the right drinks to compliment our meal.
Our waitress was courteous and friendly, going out of her way to entertain our two children as they insisted to "order on their own" for the first time.
The food was DELICIOUS! We started with a calamari and goat cheese gnocchi appetizers - both fresh and light. For dinner, we tried the crab cake special and organic chicken. Portions were very fair (& filling) and both were bursting with flavor.
The drinks were strong with well-balanced flavors. Daymark offers a huge bar, too, which looks like a great place to hang out for happy hour.
Overall, I would strongly recommend checking out this spot. While it's definitely a bit of a drive for anyone not already on LBI, it's certainly worth making it a planned destination when you're in the mood for finer dining!
