Vic's auto parts and services folks are honest, very good at what they do and very courteous with customers. The gentleman who worked on my car, did a thorough check if my car, and provided just the needed service, nothing more. Even though I was being cautious and conservative and wanted to go the extra mile with maintenance, he did not try to sell me anything that I didn't need. And he gave me some free advice! He even turned in the heat in the waiting area because it was a child morning, even though there we're no other customers there.
I have been to Vic's for my car repairs at least 4 times, and my parents been using them for over 10 years. I only went there because my parents say they're good mechanics.
From my past experiences (most recently about a week ago), they do good mechanic work. Seems to fix the problems and know what they're doing. They can fix your problem. The reason I gave them 2 star is that, they seem to try pad the repair bill with other craps. I sent my bill to my friend who has a shop (but not close to where I live) and check whether it's good. My mechanic friend said their labor and parts pricing seems reasonable, however, there are a lot of padding charges. Like Washer fluid, oil change, hazardous material dispose fee, my friend said normally other shops don't charge these because it's pure profit that it's BS to charge it, with the amount that I'm already paying for the repair, they should not charge it. Pretty much they try to pad the bill to a higher number for things that don't matter, just so it costs more.
Also, every time they fix my car, they will pump the tires to an arbitrary number so every time I had to release some airs after I got home. This happened 5 times already. My car tire recommended pressure is 29 PSI, they pumped it at one time as high as 38 PSI and my car is floating while I'm driving back home.
