Visiting Angels

Visiting Angels has been a godsend to our family. The stress of being geographically distant to our mother was alleviated every day we had a Visiting Angel scheduled to be with her. I will forever be thankful. Paula was with us from beginning until it was time to move my mother to assisted living. Trustworthy, empathetic, patient, a great communicator. Then came Helen and Eva who also gave time and themselves to make my mother's days smoother. The point people at Visiting Angels were wonderful as well. My family will forever be grateful.

My mother in-law found Visiting Angels after my FIL came home from the hospital and needed more assistance with his daily routine than she could give alone. When we lost her 6 months ago, again with my FIL in the hospital we knew we needed more help. My FIL wanted to stay in their home, so our home health aide needs changed to needing live-in help. We would never have considered any agency other than Visiting Angels! They walked us through the transition, found us a remarkable HHA for my father in-law. Eula is the most patient and attentive caregiver I’ve ever seen (and I’ve worked in healthcare for 25yrs). She senses what my FIL needs giving gentle guidance and encouragement while promoting his independence.
Visiting Angels as an organization is everything you could hope for when navigating the challenges of caring for an aging parent, especially a stubborn parent. They are open about their policies and costs. They communicate seamlessly with families, by phone, email or text, whichever you prefer. Their visiting nurses are wonderful. They will provide ride share options for getting your loved one to doctor’s appointments or to the store. They communicate very well about time off for your HHA and finding a substitute. We feel so reassured and confident with Visiting Angels on a daily basis.

I don't know what we would have done without the support of Visiting Angels in helping to care for our father. Their aids are excellent. They are knowledgeable, kind, and offer gentle yet firm care. We are forever grateful.

I have been working with Visiting Angels regarding my mother's care for the last 4 months. Due to the number of hospitalizations and schedule changes, I may have more than usual communications with the teams. Everyone is absolutely amazing from the office staff, nurses, and aids.

The office staff is very responsive, communicative, and are very flexible with our week to week needs. A member is available to answer questions as well as address concerns (very minimal, so far) after business hours as well as weekend for urgent needs. The nurses follow up within 24 hours after hospital discharge, and schedule a face to face meeting with the aide and client to ensure everything is up to date, and safety protocols are being followed. Most importantly, the aides that we've worked with (Maria, Maureen, and Nancy) are earth angels. They encourage my mom to move, assist with daily life activities, and provides companionship when I am unable to. They have been instrumental in keeping my sanity, and have brought us peace of mind.

We brought my mother to our house for Thanksgiving and she had a lot of difficulty ambulating. We called Visiting Angels and even over the holiday they were able to supply us with daily help that we could not provide alone. The nurses were kind and understanding but also very well educated. They provided my mother with exercises to help her walk and, when administering her medication, they were informative and incredibly helpful. The whole staff treated my mother as they would their own.
