I’ve gotten all my plants from Blossom Flower Shop since moving to Yonkers. Walking into their shop is always a beautiful experience — it’s well-decorated and offers a wide variety of plants. After two years of caring for my plants, my partner decided to take all seven of them back to Blossom Flower Shop to have them repotted and refreshed. He asked the staff to trim what was needed and repot them, which cost $130 in total.

When he returned home, he only came back with six plants. He told me that one was supposedly beyond saving — which surprised me, since that plant had never given me any issues and looked healthy before being taken in. Unfortunately, within three days of bringing the repotted plants back home, all six died. They appeared oversaturated with water and completely wilted. These plants meant a lot to me, and I was very upset to see them die so suddenly after years of thriving.

I went back to the shop to explain what happened. The first woman I spoke with wasn’t empathetic and didn’t apologize — she simply said, “I did what I could.” I don’t think she realized how meaningful plants can be to someone. Even a simple apology would have gone a long way.

I then spoke with the manager, who was kind and apologetic. She explained that sometimes plants can experience shock after repotting, but in this case, they seemed to have died from something more than that. She refunded the repotting fee and offered me new plants and even a bouquet of flowers, which I declined at the time because I was still upset.

I appreciate the manager’s professionalism and understanding, even though she wasn’t the one who repotted my plants. Her willingness to make things right meant a lot. I haven’t chosen new plants yet, but when I’m ready, I hope the next experience goes much more smoothly.

Blossom Flowers did an awesome job making a birthday bouquet and delivering to my friend the same afternoon. Ordering on line by looking at a photo doesn't work for me. I called the store and they told me exactly which flowers they had in stock and created the bouquet with my choices. Easiest 12 minutes I've spent ordering flowers. And the made 2 delivery attempts so the bouquet was delivered. My friend loves the bouquet ... points for me.

I will use Blossom Flowers again.
