Colonial Motel

This place was incredible. I don't know why people have so much bad to say about the woman who runs the place....I stayed there over a year and never had any problems. I kept to myself and minded my business but did make a few friends there ofcourse and the woman who runs the place was never a problem....the people staying there are mostly through DSS who are full grown adults who need to realize it's not the motels job to cover your costs on towels and tp....it's one thing if your a paying guest but when DSS is paying for you to stay, be greatful you even have a bed to sleep in. I live in Virginia now where DSS doesn't put people in motels. It makes you really see how much people use ny dss. Not that I hadn't at my worst but I still made it a point not to continue using them.
My point, don't take the reviews for there word....check the place out yourself and decide for yourself. Also understand it's a motel run by a woman and her nephew who accept people from DSS.... That can be a real pain and they don't have to do that. She actually went out of her way to help me on more than one occasion, she helped me when I was at my worst point of having cancer.....even offered me small work weeding and planting flowers up front when I was feeling better. It's a good motel. She's a nice woman. All that needs to be said. I wish I'd left this review sooner and seen that people where badmouthing her and har motel.... I strongly recommend this place.
