Absolutely the bomb. They got a little mixed up on my order and threw in some beef patties for free which entirely made up for the additional wait time. Everything was unbelievably good. They give you tons of food and it's delicious. I'm still savoring my leftovers days after and they're just as good as they were the first time. Highly recommend.
I was very happy to find out abt Cy’s restaurant is closed to my place bc I will usually have to drive far to find some good Haitians food and I love the mix of Haitian and Jamaican culture so u can get both same place. Been a customer’s for a while and they deserve some good reviews that’s our way to support our local business and way to support them. When I am tired and don’t feel like cooking that’s my go to. The food is great and my favorite is the fried snapper and tassot beef. From rice, mc and cheese and fried platter and oxtail I am always please from every take out I ordered. And the owner is very nice and if you any concerns she ready to listen and accommodate you
The food and drinks were exceptional. The rum punch was potent and flavorful, and every dish we tried was perfectly seasoned, as if cooked with love.
We started with crispy catfish bites, followed by tender oxtails served over black rice with a side of creamy mac and cheese. The flavors were divine! While the catfish bites were a bit small for the price, they were undeniably delicious. As a thoughtful gesture, Chef (Mom) offered us fish patties to go, which were hot, crispy, flaky, and absolutely mouthwatering. Even though I was full, I couldn't resist trying them.
The service was kind and friendly, though we had to ask for water a few times and our order of Sos Pwa never arrived. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic and we'll definitely return.
One word. Delicious!!!! Can’t wait to bring my mom there for dinner so she can try the red snapper. I ordered via UberEats and the food was still very fresh and tasty (given its fish it wasn’t soggy or anything).
I ordered the catfish dinner with rice and beans, cabbage and sweet plantains.
So glad to have found this spot!
So excited about this new place opening in Nyack. Location is great, near the Thruway exit so a good spot for locals or those coming from out of town. Easily the best Caribbean food in Rockland! We had the seared salmon with black rice cooked to perfection! The oxtail with rice and beans and sweet plantains was so good, packed with flavor. We heard other first time customers during their soft opening raving about their dishes as well. Their cocktails are fresh and cravable. A welcoming atmosphere with a big screen and a bar with 4 tv's to watch sports, plenty of tables and a lounge area with comfortable seating. They also have a slightly elevated stage for a band, DJ, comedian etc. Between their service, multi purpose cool vibing atmosphere, delicious food and cocktails this is a much needed addition to our area. The story of how the restaurant came to be and the owners is truly inspiring. Will be going there on a regular basis.
