Nice trip. Be aware of time changes for the cruise due to staffing and tides

Took this cruise on a drizzly day with my brother and his daughter. Our guide was knowledgeable as both a naturalist and a historian, encouraged a little group participation (but not in an annoying way), and made a drizzly day brighter. The bird watching was terrific. It was great to get a different perspective on Long Island and its wetlands. I definitely recommend this trip both for families (kids age 7 and up) and bird watchers.

Took the Wetlands tour with my 7 year old grandson. We had a good time. Naturalist Elaine was informative and kept our attention with stories and props.

Wonderful tour of the backwaters of Stony Brook and Setauket! I have lived here my whole life, and spent many childhood hours in these waters and I learned a lot. Only 1.5 hours, very relaxing and fun!

Nice mix of birdwatching, history and facts we did not know. Fun questions for the visitors and a very amicable crew. They pause and try to give everyone on board a chance to capture a picture of birds on the move. Very laid back, not snobby or condescending at all. My only suggestion is a website where we could safely purchase tickets online. Nice way to see a part of Stony Brook that many visitors cannot. A must for bird lovers or lazy weekend tourists like us.
