Dr. Helen Na-Chuang

I recently saw Dr. Na at her new office, affiliated with Nuvance Health, in Putnam Hospital Center. And overall, while I’m happy with the care that I received, I felt that Dr. Na was a “good” doctor, as opposed to being “great.”

Despite running a few minutes behind with paperwork and checking in as a new patient, Dr. Na started my appointment soon after my allocated time. She was pleasant, but I didn’t think she was as thorough as she could have been. I came in with a diagnosis of an ovarian cyst that was seen on an MRI and I felt Dr. Na was primarily confirming the research I did, as opposed to bringing a new perspective to the table. I am happy that a generalized treatment plan was created, but felt she could have gotten to know me better as I was a new patient in her office.

With all that being said, I do appreciate both Dr. Na’s receptionist and her nurse, Heather. I’m also grateful that I was able to be seen for an end of day appointment, as my work schedule can be tricky to manage.

Everyone in the office was pleasant, my ultrasound order was completed quickly, and I’m happy to that this office, while not “amazing,” is an option to continue my gynecological care.

I have been going to her practice for years. Not sure why it says it is closed but she is still practicing at this location. She is a great doctor. She explains conditions and is very gengle and quick. The staff are good but if you have to make an appointment in person, you will wait a while. They will attend to phone calls before they attend to patients waiting; depending who is working at the front desk. Overall, I do recommend. The office is easy to get to via Q66 bus and Q47 buses. They have access to parking as well. 12/23/2023.
