came here out of curiosity and happy to say we were pleased. we ordered the combo of 6 tacos and 6 empanadas and we ordered a mix of beef, chicken, fish, etc. the atmosphere was very nice, a little chilly inside but the customer service was excellent. definitely a good spot!
I stopped by East Coast Street Tacos recently and was genuinely surprised by how good the jackfruit and butter chicken tacos were. The jackfruit especially was impressive. It had great texture and a kick to the flavor. The butter chicken taco was rich without being heavy and had a nice balance of spice and sweetness.
I do think the menu could use a few more vegan options, because the jackfruit shows they know how to do plant based dishes well. It would be great to see that side of the menu expanded, especially since there is clearly creativity in the kitchen.
Service was relaxed and friendly. Josue and Yogi bring a vibe with amazing welcoming presence. You can tell they care about both the food and the experience.
Overall, this is a spot is amazing &a will definitely be back and I am looking forward to seeing what new ideas they bring to the menu.
East Coast Street Tacos is the kind of place you try once and immediately start recommending to everyone you know. The food is consistently fresh and full of real, layered flavor. The tortillas taste yum, the meats are seasoned perfectly, and the toppings actually elevate the tacos instead of just filling them out. Every bite feels super balanced!
A big part of what makes this place stand out is the team running it. Josue and Yogi set the tone as managers, and it shows. They are welcoming, attentive, and clearly invested in making sure every guest has a great experience. Their team and the service always feels warm, efficient, and genuine.
If you love good tacos, this spot will win you over fast. East Coast Street Tacos delivers quality and hospitality in a way that feels honest and memorable. Shout out to Josue and Yogi and the entire team for making this place something special!!!!
I was excited to finally try East Coast Street Tacos after driving past it for months. The original plan for a cheesesteak spot did not pan out, so when the taco banner went up, my hopes were high again. But once I walked in, the pricing gave me pause. On the 'West Coast' ahem Cali a five dollar taco is either gourmet or generously packed. Even in Brooklyn, food trucks at that price usually load up the fillings. Here, the tacos were not bad, the flavors lean fusion, but the portions felt surprisingly light. For over five dollars a taco, the value just is not there at $2.50 a bite. It felt like more of the cost went into the branded boxes and cups than the actual food. There are local spots in the same price range that deliver far more substance and satisfaction. And to be clear, I am not comparing it to Tacombi across the street, that place has its own issues. But with a name like East Coast Street Tacos, I expected more emphasis on hearty street style portions and less on polished branding. The potential is definitely there, but right now the balance between presentation and product needs work. Good food markets itself, and with a few adjustments, this place could easily live up to the hype.
I stopped by their grand opening, and it did NOT disappoint. The food was incredibly good—fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. The customer service was excellent too; everyone was welcoming, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend checking it out! 🌮🔥
