I’m giving 5 stars because the food is always so delicious. I always order for take out but the atmosphere in there when I pick up is so nice. It would be great to actually go there to dine in one day. I am upset though that I ordered a family special with an extra white rice today and when I got home I did not receive it in the bag. :( so I paid for the extra white rice but didn’t get it and not going to drive back. That is my only issue. Please make sure you are checking the bag for to go orders to make sure the customer isn’t missing anything.
My husband and I were in the area for a wedding. I looked up a place to have a good lunch and came across El Matador. I made the decision to go there as soon as I saw the picture of the paella. It was delicious it had decent amount of seafood. I would prefer the rice a little under as when it was mixed with the sauce it was a bit overcooked. My husband liked his dish. It was lunch time so we were the only table. Food came out quick and service was great. Would defff recommend.
I was invited to go to
have a lunch there, I saw the location and was thinking negative things and thoughts. In the end, I found my favorite restaurant, Excelente food
and service. I was back the same week with my crew, who love ot too. Great drinks, too.
I drove 30 minutes from Farmingdale to try out this restaurant, the reviews were great as was the menu.
Parking was ample, the restaurant was clean, and the friendly staff and service were impeccable.
The food was all incredible. I'm vegetarian, my wife is not. I had the Platano Relleno, then an avocado salad (huge) and I was already full, but I ordered my entree, El Matador Burrito veggie style, outstanding. My wife had the Ceviche Shrimp followed by Besito Salvadoreño cooked to perfection. We both had food to go.
We were both extremely satisfied with our food, the staff, and the menu. The bill was more than reasonable.
Totally worth the trip, and El Matador Restaurant is now on top of our favorites list.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem of a restaurant specializing in Spanish and Latin American cuisine. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, setting the tone for an incredible dining experience.
The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the food. I ordered paella, which was an absolute masterpiece - bursting with flavors, the rice perfectly cooked, and the medley of fresh seafood and aromatic spices created a delightful symphony on my taste buds.
My wife opted for the grouper dish, and it was equally impressive. The fish was cooked to perfection, tender and flaky, and the accompanying sauce was a harmonious blend of tangy and savory flavors. The presentation was impeccable as well.
To complete our culinary adventure, we indulged in the milk cake for dessert. Moist, creamy, and with the right amount of sweetness, it was the perfect ending to our meal.
Another thing worth mentioning is the exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was flawless. They were knowledgeable about the menu, provided excellent recommendations, and catered to our every need with genuine warmth and professionalism. It's clear that they take great pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction.
If you're seeking an authentic culinary journey through Spain and Latin America, look no further. This restaurant is an absolute must-visit.
