Enology Wine Bar & Bistro

We had a fabulous time at enology. We went to celebrate an engagement originally thinking we would only get drinks however they were very knowledgeable about how to make options on their menu vegan. They celebrated with us for our engagement! They made it a very personal experience. We are from NH and it will be a stop we go to every time we go to LI. The owner even stopped by to check on us. A must visit in our minds!

Enology is an absolute gem. The food is outstanding—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. What truly sets this wine bar apart, though, is the incredible wine selection. There’s a wide variety to choose from, whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just looking to try something new, and the staff is knowledgeable and happy to guide you. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed evening or a special night out. Enology will not disappoint.

What really made the experience stand out was Keith & Josh the bartenders arefriendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. We've been excited to try Enology since they announced their opening. We made a reservation to be safe for a Friday evening and did not feel rushed at all. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming. It only got a little loud by the end of the night, but not so much that we couldn't hear each other. The service was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and present without interrupting. Our waitress Lay was very helpful and even offered to pair our selected tapas with recommended wine tastings when we told her we weren't sure what to order. Definitely trust her to guide your meal! The owner also stopped by a few times to check in and make sure we were happy with everything, and the kitchen staff bringing our the meals were happy and friendly.

Food: the group of us tried basically half the menu and every item was delicious. The bread with olive oil, brown sugar butter, and garlic butter was fresh and warm. The Caesar salad was just enough to split and had a unique flavor and texture. The whipped ricotta with honey was a must have! The eggplant dish was unique and had both crispy and savory pieces. The arancini in vodka sauce had a hint of spice and a nice outer crisp. The garlic shrimp was another must have! We kept the leftover oil and ordered extra bread to dip until the plate was clean. Next we had the octopus which had roasted potatoes and a delicious, sweet sauce. The cauliflower entree was an entire head and had a nice sauce to dip. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy and the sauces were delicious. The flatbread was delicious, too. Even the side of fries which looked plain had a garlicky flavor to them and were great for dipping in the leftover garlic shrimp oil. The desserts tasted even better than they looked on the menu! Every item's presentation was thoughtful and obviously made with love.

Drinks: we tried a few specialty cocktails and none disappointed. All of the wine tastings our server Lay suggested paired beautifully with the food, and the pairings made me appreciate the differences in the wine more. She even labeled the tastings by name and food pairing so we could enjoy without thinking.

We will definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends and family!

What a great gem! We made a reservation at Enology looking for a great time and it sure did deliver. The servers were attentive and we were always checked on by the owner, Jimmy, and his great team. If you’re not sure what wine to have, the amazing team will guide you in the right direction and deliver an amazing pairing to the menu. All the food was fresh, innovative and delicious. Highly recommend!
