Thank you guys for being there at beach 97th street for me! I got an injury and couldn't walk..I could hardly speak was going to faint. That's when Carl and Sal came to the rescue. If they weren't there I would have still been laying on beach. Thank you so much for being so caring helpful and concerned. You have 2 wonderful gentlemen. Kudos is not enough. Rockaway Beach is famous for ocean surf and rip currents. In addition there are alongshore currents due to nearby Reynolds Channel and East Rockaway Inlet. My own mother was caught in a rowboat in this current. Located less than a quarter mile from the beach, the firefighters of Engine 265, Ladder 121, and Battalion 47 are ready to swim out and rescue you from the surf. Not only that, but Emergency Medical Service 47 is ready to revive you and provide medical treatment.
