It's an unexpected beauty. I happened upon it returning from Shirley Chisholm. I was going to have my birthday shoot there but couldn't because of closure. Driving back I slowed to a stop at this stunning place! 200% better than anything Shirley would have offered. What a beautiful place. No one recognized where the pictures were taken. It's a hidden gem, tucked away at the end of Louisiana Avenue.
A wonderful place to unwind and find some peace in an area that you would not think of looking for. In the shadows of the Starret City Housing projects you will find some wonderfully beautiful and peaceful views as you walk along the trails you will find here. Enjoy a picnic with family and friends or just take a peaceful walk to relax and shake off some stress. Any time of the year you can find some amazing views along the trails where wildlife surrounding you at every turn. Go and see for yourself.! You won't regret it. Enjoy the peace
Great for bike riding or strolling. People picnic and play cricket in the summer there. It's pretty empty and peaceful most of the time. The park leads you to Shirley Chisholm State Park but you have to ride over some of the most neglected and bumpy roads in all of NYC to get to the State Park. There's a sewage plant near Fresh Creek, so oftentimes, it doesn't smell so "fresh"!😂
Beautiful small sliver of nature around the Creek. Weaved into the community this preserve is perfect for bird watching, a great jog or walk, nature read or yoga
Limited parking due to social distancing but park is beautiful and not crowded
