Food was fresh, made to order, and delicious!! The owners are so kind, & took the time to make our food - the fries were crispy perfect as we like it. we were really impressed so we decided to also order the pistachio dessert, bc we love supporting kind business owners that make authentic food. This is definitely our new favorite local gyro spot! Funny the guy offering after us (we assume is now a regular) he came in & was like, “I’m addicted to your gyros! 😂) and the owner was like, “I know” haha. I guess he comes in a lot lol.
Staff are awesome- they take your order and start on the food while you grab a seat. The food base is ready (rice, pita, falafel, etc.) then you go back and choose your toppings (vegetables, sauce). Everything is fresh and they are generous with the portions. Price is super reasonable compared to the area, and they were very kind throughout the meal. Check this place out if you want amazing falafel!
I stumbled upon this place and am so glad I did! Their meet dishes are incredible, with a perfect balance of spices and tenderness. The flavors are authentic, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The prices are beyond reasonable for NYC, and the vibe is laid-back and inviting. Will definitely be coming back!
Excellent food, prices, and portion sizes! Very fresh.
Pita could have been a little thinner (less bread like) and baklava could have a little better. Loved the food we ordered though!
If you’re in Manhattan and haven’t hit Gyro King yet, you’re seriously missing out.
I came in just looking for a quick halal bite, but this spot went way beyond expectations. The gyro was crazy good — meat was juicy, perfectly seasoned, wrapped in a warm pita, and the white sauce? Cold, creamy, and hit just right.
Tried the lamb chops too- super tender, full of flavor like they marinated ‘em overnight. The grilled chicken was fire too, had that smoky char like it just came off the grill.
I swapped the fries for falafel and no regrets, crispy outside, soft inside, seasoned perfectly. Dipped them in that sauce and they were gone in minutes.
The place is clean, staff is chill, and they move fast. Big portions, good prices, and everything’s halal can’t ask for more.
Gyro King in Manhattan is the real deal. Pull up hungry, you won’t leave disappointed.
