Picturesque area to sit and view the pond. It is a small area with only benches. There is a fishing spot nearby.

Heron Park in Centerport is a small, peaceful spot along Mill Pond, perfect for a short visit. It’s known for its scenic water views, benches for relaxing, and great birdwatching—especially herons and the occasional bald eagle. The park is well-kept and ideal for a quiet stroll or a quick nature break, though parking is limited

You can take a nice walk across the bridge and back. Mill pond is on the right side of the bridge. Keep an eye out for the famous Bald eagle couple of Long Island! Their nest is in the area and they come to the pond to hunt. They are huge majestic birds. Heron park is at one end of the bridge, a small sit down park with a couple benches and a nice view of the pond.

Nice, short walk across bridge, also small area around cool 22' tall sculpture of a blue heron. Spill way under bridge, looks like good fishing for bass, crappie and a few others off bridge during high tide. Nice view. Parking on either side of the bridge. Didn't investigate the other side. Want a leisuely 1/2 hr stroll after dinner it's nice. And free.
