Hometown Deli

They have 2 strikes in my book. Strike one was a little average a month ago.
They have 2 lines, one for credit cards and one for cash and lottery. Myself and another person walked in together, they went to cc line and I went the lottery line to cash in a ticket. They took the other person because they were 1st, no problem. Then someone who was eating breakfast got in the cc line, they took them next. I was a little upset. Then as he was finishing with that person someone walks in the door and they took him next. I walked out. He tried stopping me but it was to late. I stopped going there for 3 weeks.
Now tonight I walked in and they are finishing up with someone in the cc line when they have a problem with a pump. They ask politely if I mind that they fix the problem. I agree, no worries. In the interim as they are fixing that another customer walks in to the cc line and they are helped first. THEY WEREN'T EVEN IN THE STORE WHEN I WAS WAITING ON LINE AND WHERE HELPED FIRST. So I won't walk in there for at least a month now, if ever.
So if you are in the cash line be prepared to wait for people that aren't even there yet.

Food is very good. Both hot or cold sandwiches are top quality and you can't go wrong. Breakfast is very good too along with there coffee. I can't forget to mention that the staff here are amazing and very helpful. This is my far my favorite deli in the Minisink area.

I came in because it was an easy place to stop and get a sandwich. The sub I got was delicious better than I expected. It tastes like what you would want to get at a real deli, much better than just a convenience store sub. They also have tables where you can sit and eat.

Beer selection was decent, great variety of snacks and drinks, food made to order was inexpensive, guy working the counter was friendly. Can't ask for much more from your local gas 'n go spot.
