Hopewell Hot Bagels

I’m not sure if this place has changed… I’ve lived around here almost my whole life but I just haven’t really been here all too often for some reason?? Well, the sandwich that I got today will certainly change that. The prices are SO reasonable, the service was great, and the food was fantastic! I’m not gluten free but many of my friends are so the full gluten free section was nice to see. The Super Onion bagel with Lox and plain cream cheese was honestly the best lox on a bagel I’ve ever gotten in this area. There are certainly other places that have more gimmick and higher prices that did not compare to how FRESH this lox was. I got a Lemon blueberry scone for later because I could not resist, Nor could I resist trying a piece before I took a picture (DVD box included for size reference!). Next time I have a cream cheese and lox bagel craving, I will absolutely be back. I spent about $20 including a nice tip I’m glad I gave after how good that bagel was haha! But you can absolutely get away with spending less than $10.

I visit my husband’s family in Hopewell Junction every year for Thanksgiving. He has failed to mention, until this year, that there are the most tasty and divine bagels just down the street from him. Particularly, the salt bagel. *cue angels singing* I dream about the salt bagels from Hopewell Hot Bagels. I wish I could swim in them and eat them endlessly. Unfortunately, we live hundreds of miles from New York. Regardless - this bagel shop is just the cutest little place. The food is wonderful, the girls who work there are very polite, and helpful, the prices are unbeatable, and the little dining room is a nice added touch. I would eat here every day if I lived nearby. Until next year, Hopewell Hot Bagels!

I previously left a not so nice review. However I believe the place is improving. As now a former restaurant general manager I know how tough it can be to get out mobile orders while still trying to help the customers ordering at the counter. I recently went in there and saw a row of mobile order receipts hanging up above the counter and a line around the building for people waiting to order. I saw all of the employees working hard and as fast as they could to get those orders out while still helping the people in line. The employees were not frustrated or complaining about how busy it was. sometimes when new owners take over it can take some time for them to get in the swing of things. Maybe that’s what happened here. I’ve been coming here since I was a little boy with my grandmother. Now I live in the area and me and my wife and children order from here. Lately my mobile order is always ready when I get there ( which is fast because I live on the road next to the building) and it’s always been correct. Glad to see the place going strong and glad I gave another chance.

I went there on Saturday morning, the bagel was fresh. The staff was so friendly and nice. Definitely I will go back again.
