My family and I have been going to this establishment for years. This place not only serves delicious Filipino dishes, but also does catering services too. From big orders of lechon, to different styles of pancit, this place has a wide variety of Filipino comfort foods as well as other goods, like frozen meats, instant noodles, and snacks. My family tends to come to place for it's breakfast and lunch dishes, like pork adobe, bulalo, and my personal favorite, corned beef silog & bangus sisig.
This was our first time trying this Kabayan location. The place is clean and homey, and the people are very friendly. The food was delicious and packed with flavors.
Kabayan Grill in East Meadow is where Filipino nostalgia meets cozy vibes and heartwarming hospitality. Walking in, you’re greeted by the delicious aroma of Filipino comfort food wafting from the turo-turo counter, where steamy trays of viands sit, ready to tempt even the pickiest eater. The dining area is bright and charming, adorned with festive parols and clean white furniture that invite you to linger.
The crispy pata was the undisputed star—crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired perfectly with that tangy soy-vinegar dipping sauce. The Jeprox was a delightful surprise, a salty, crispy treat that transported me straight back to breakfast in the Philippines. And the lumpiang shanghai? Perfectly golden, stuffed generously, and made even better with the sweet chili sauce.
Beyond the food, Kabayan Grill stands out because of its people. The staff were warm and accommodating, making you feel like family, and the manager—a cheerful presence behind the counter—was the epitome of Filipino hospitality. He made sure everyone was well taken care of, a touch that elevated the experience from good to great.
Whether you’re here for a hefty meal or to stock up on Filipino breads like pan de sal and cheesy ensaymada, this place hits all the right notes. Kabayan Grill doesn’t just feed you; it reminds you why Filipino food feels like home.
I've been here twice already. Love it! So much good authentic Filipino Food. Incredible menu. Friendly service. I highly recommend here!
I LOVE the hospitality of Norman! He made us feel like special guests, like family. The wide selection of Filipino food is great. Service is quick and commendable. There are also groceries, bakery items and snacks for sale. Parking is ample. Definitely an authentic Filipino family restaurant to go to when in New York.
