Lai-Yet Lam, MD

Dr. Lam has been my doctor for almost 30 years. She has treated me through my 20s, 30s, 40s and is now taking care of me in my 50s as I transition into menopause. She is an excellent and compassionate doctor who treats you with respect and care on a holistic level. Her advice, cares and concerns have been invaluable to me. I travel all the way from upstate NY to her Queens office for my appointments with her and would travel further if I had to. She is my favorite doctor ever.

I consider myself fortunate to be cared for by Dr. Lam for the last 20+ years.
I was referred to Dr. Lam by two other highly regarded doctors in NY, because you simply cannot find Dr. Lam’s name in typical newspapers or yellow pages back then. When I started seeing her, I found other MDs sitting in the same waiting room with me in her Flushing clinic. I figured that she was trusted by her peers, that gave me a lot confidence ever since.
I had a few miss carriages before seeing Dr. Lam, so I was shaky and wanted to do sonogram every week when I saw her. She said that’s not necessary. Instead, she told me all the details of healthy nutrition from real food and good drinking.
Dr. Lam delivered both my sons. I had C Section for my first baby as Dr. Lam decided that’s right option because the baby was stressed after a few hours’ attempt of delivery.
Dr. Lam expected her patients to live a healthy life without excessive treatment or unnecessary testing. That’s her philosophy, I followed her instruction and lived a healthy life without complications so far. For that, I’m forever grateful.
Dr. Lam is the best OBGYN out there with the professional experience, the medical judgement and above all, a caring heart.

Dr Lam has taken care of my grandmother, my mother, my sister, and I. She is very patient, gentle, and caring and makes sure the visit is as comfortable as comfortable as possible. I was initially terrified of the idea of going to the GYN but after meeting dr Lam all my fears were alleviated. She’s a wonderful doctor

Dr. Lam is the best doctor I know. She delivered my four children and still remembers all of their birthdays. She is amazing and has incredible medical judgment and great bedside manners.
