Stop & Shop and Dunkin' Donuts are the 2 main reasons I come here, but I've always wanted to try the car wash!
I like to come to this plaza to shop at the dollar tree store and ocean state job lot. They are very similar to the ones where I live but I like to visit different places in different areas to see what they are like.
One of Mahopac's shopping centers, this one is on the East end of US Route 6. The center dates back to the mid-1970s but has been recently remodeled. One of the anchors is an Ocean State Job lot, which is a pretty nice discount store where formerly there was a Kmart, and the old Caldor's years before. There is also a Dollar Tree next to the Job Lot. The other anchor is a Stop & Shop (there's another Stop & Shop Westward on US 6 right on the Mahopac-Balewin Place boarder). There's also a Dollar Tree, liquor store, a pizzeria/Italian restaurant, and a Chinese restaurant. There is now also a medical clinic which takes up a fair amount of space.
I only went to stop&shop, and dollar tree. They were nice. S&S is getting out of hand with their prices. Its creating a lot of business for Shoprite. They have better meat & prices across the board!
Seems very old school. The pizza & salad I had during separate vists were tasty. Staff efficient and polite. Good place for a quick bite, which also offers a sit down dinner option and delivery menu. I'm planning to go back for a full typical Italian-American meal.
