Lutheran Care Center At Concord Village

I have been a resident here on the first floor for over a year and in general the nursing staff has been pretty good. Recently there has been a change following a review from a family member regarding a few nursing staff members on the rehab unit on the second floor. Administrative staff here have decided to take away our good CNA's and nurses and place them on the rehab unit instead of addressing the problems that already exist there. We, on the long-term unit are as deserving of care as the residents on rehab. We are left with some nurses aides that would much rather spend their time on duty sitting in the nurse's lounge playing on their phones than they would carrying for us residents or we are short staffed leaving the aides overwhelmed and unable to give us proper care! Some of the CNA's idea of care is to make sure they wipe our butts and then go on their way as if we never have a need for anything else! Despite our unit manager coming to our defense regarding decent coverage for us it's to no avail and falls on deaf ears.
The food here is also a problem. Most of the food that is served to us is prepackaged and not fresh food. It has little to no nutritional value and is full of sodium. There is no creativity whatsoever by the cooks that work here that act as chefs! They don't even know how to make a decent pot of coffee or pot of soup. We residents have voiced our concerns regarding our meals numerous times and that is also to no avail.

I Just want to thank all the staff that has been helping my Mom as she is getting better & stronger my family visits her daily & at all different times She is well taken care of She is always clean She loves her meals She gets physical therapy daily It takes someone real special and strong minded to work at this kind of facility Alot of these places are short staffed and over worked they still come in and do their jobs tat the best of their ability I also know that some clients are never satisfied or appreciate The workers that are trying to help them I will highly recommend any family members or friends that are in need of any rehabilitation to attend Lutheran Care Center at Concord Village Poughkeepsie Thank You to all the staff involved in my mothers Recovery Kathleen Anderson. 11/25/2025

My mom was here twice. I am grateful for the entire staff who were sincerely supportive and caring. They made my mom feel comfortable during a very difficult time. The rehab team was by far impeccable as well. They made sure my mom went home at her highest level and gave her compensatory strategies for her to be successful at home. Thank you to all the staff that participated in my mom’s care.
