This is an update on second visit. As a result of first review, I was contacted by office management. All my concerns were addressed. On my second visit, all staff were properly dressed in medical scrubs. I was taken in a timely manner. Everyone was polite and professional. I had no interaction with previous office staff member. The office very quiet. I told the medical aide that I had many questions as I had some major issues with the boot causing gait to be off and affection bone on bone knees and degenerative back issues. The PA came in and we thoroughly discussed the problems. Dr. wessling is very good to talk to and he stayed with me for a longer time. He also helped me figure out how I might where boot without the causing other problems. He was gentle in administering injections for Achilles heel . They are painful. I trust him and appreciated the care and empathy I received from all. The comments below were from 1st visit.
. I am rating the staff, not the doctor. Themedical assistant , Stephanie was rude and disrespectful.
I was having a PRP procedure. I have been having difficulty with an acute Achilles tendonitis. I did not expect the procedure to be as uncomfortable. She presents herself as if she is doing you, the patient a favor. I waited along time in the room. I saw the doctor having his lunch.
At the end of the procedure I was given a boot. I felt the boot was too big. Stephanie said she’ ll be back to assist. She said she brought me the correct size. I waited quite a while, my pain was increasing from the procedure. I left the room and saw her walking in the hall. It didn’t seem she was coming to me. I complained . She said , come back inside. When she knelt down to assist me, she commented- “the things I have to deal with”. Obviously, I was the thing.
I’m 77 years old, I will not allow anyone to be rude or disrespectful. I didn’t let her help me and walked away from her. She left the room complaining about me. The PA for the doctor came in, gave me the correct size and fitted the boot.
I complained to the front desk. The appropriate thing would to have asked Stephanie to talk to me. Instead, they yes’s me as she laughed with the office staff at the desk.
    Insult upon injury.
I’ve been a patient for many years but am very disappointed in how the staff treated me and this situation.
I am the patient, I was in pain. I expect more from all of them. The doctor did not intervene regarding her behavior but did try to fix the boot.
I see Dr. Delamora at this office more frequently, he would not have allowed this. The PA was wonderful however.

This is the first practitioner at this practice that I felt my appointment was wasted. I thought a brace was necessary to relieve my pain until I got custom orthotics. I work on my feet all day and worry about my pain.

An awesome orthopedist all around. Wonderful bedside manner. An educator. And he didn't seem the type to recommend surgery as the first course of treatment, for which I'm grateful for. I highly recommend him.

Update as of today January 22 2025: I decided on having surgery to my achilles tendon on December 3rd and it's feeling very well thanks to Dr Wessling and his staff. Dr Wessling is very easy to talk with, he explains everything you need to know, he made me feel at ease pre and post surgery, and all the paperwork I required for this injury was done on time without hassle, I really do recommend Dr Wessling . Thank you to all at NY Orthopedics.
11/24/2025: Upon meeting Dr wessling today on my first visit, I felt at ease with his bedside demeanor and his knowledgeable understanding in regards to my injury of my left foot. He reviewed the options very slowly in terms you can understand without rushing through it or any pressure. He was gentle to touch upon examination of my foot with noted compassion for how painful it is. His office (scarsdale) was clean and his staff were nice. Thank you Dr..Wessling for being you.
