Grand master Mitchell Barron is my taekwondo instructor for nearly 10 years. He is a phenomenal teacher who takes his time to explain the purpose of every move. He sees the potential in every student and knows how to motivate and push his students to fight harder and stronger and kick higher. He serves as an amazing role model both on and off the mat. I have learned more than just the physical aspects of punching and kicking at North Eastern Martial Arts Academy. My mental health has grown tremendously since working with Grand Master Mitchel Barron. I have became more self discipline gained self confidence became more focus and especially became more happy. I highly recommend this school to everyone.

I've learned so much more from Master Barron than Tae-Kwon-Do. I've learned discipline, control and kindness. Tae-Kwon-Do is much more than kicking, punching and general self-defense; it's about understanding and respecting every living thing. To this day, if I can help it, I will step OVER an ant on the ground instead of on it. I am a very structured person who works hard for my accomplishments, and that is something Master Barron instilled in me. That's not to say that I didn't learn A LOT of actual Tae-Kwon-Do! I was able to become a first-degree black belt in about four years at the age of 10. I always felt safe, supported and in very capable hands with regard to the tradition and technique of the martial art. The dojo was always impeccably clean, and I have fond memories of nights where all the child students would get together for a sleepover to bond with one another. If you're in the northwest New Jersey area or the Orange County, New York area, please consider checking out Northeastern Martial Arts Academy.
