Mr. Wickes is truly knowledgeable! He helped me fill my own knowledge gap and gave me tips, guidance, and the tools and resources I needed to get to my goals. Within the first of 2 weeks of consulting him and applying the plan we came up with, I saw real results! After hitting a plateau, I came to him at 225lbs and was able to get down to a morning weight of 215lbs within the first month! The way he broke down my relationship with food and the importance of choices and necessary substitutions I could make has really changed my mentality around my diet. Stephen also left an open line for conversation that I was able to use whenever I had a question I forgot to ask about during our weekly sessions. That was a huge help to me and made this whole experience feel easy and supportive.

Over the past nearly two years that I have been working closely with Steve as my fitness trainer, Steve has demonstrated his deep knowledge and understanding of the many aspects of the body and how best to maximize one’s efforts in achieving their goals and objectives.
Steve’s dedication, enthusiasm and passion have provided the ground work for us to develop a unique, personal fitness plan that is tailored to meet my specific needs, since I am in my eleventh year of Parkinson’s Disease.
Some of the cornerstones of my fitness goals include improving my balance and flexibility to help mitigate the negative symptoms of rigidity and lack of balance inherit in Parkinson’s patients. Specific stretching and yoga style exercises are built into our program to help achieve these needs.
Increasing my arm and leg strength is important to facilitate my ability to move more easily in bed and recliner chairs, as well as mitigating the painful effects of muscle spasms particularly in one’s legs.
Another important goal is to enhance my stamina and endurance to assist in combating the inherent symptoms of fatigue and insomnia experienced by many Parkinson’s patients.
Steve’s innovative abilities to integrate a new workout every month adds variety, scope and motivation to the fitness challenges inherent in our program.
Finally, Steve’s personal caring for his clients, coupled with his uncanny ability to sense when you need a sprinkle of inspiration and understanding are two more of his outstanding abilities.
