During the time of Covid three years ago I was in the hospital myself battling Covid . My mom who lived with me aid got sick .And was unable to take care of her . So I was in desperate need of an aid . I called so many agencies and between Covid and it being the Christmas holidays nobody had any available aids . I was lucky enough thru a friend get Rita’s phone number . After hearing my dilemma . She immediately came over my house to meet my daughter . And some how some way was able to get aids to my home every day . She moved people around on there schedule just to help me . And every day I was able to get an aid . She was a life saver for me . I continued to use Rita’s agency even when I got home from that hospital . All of the women who came to take care of my mom were caring and professional . And Rita would call me weekly and come to my house to make sure everything was going smoothly during this difficult time . I would recommend anybody who is in need of aids to contact Rita and her agency . She not only provided a great service but she truly cares for the patient .

From my first phone call speaking with Rita I felt a sense of comfort, she was very honest and very caring and you could just tell that she really cares about people and will do anything to help you. You can hear it in her voice the passion she has working with seniors and how important it is to her. After meeting her and explaing what i was looking for to help with my mother who recently became a widow and being in her 80's, she listened and got right to work on helping me find the perfect person. My mother really likes Cigna and enjoys her company and all the she does for my mother who is unable to do certain daily tasks. That makes me very happy, and knowing my mother is safe and being treated good is MOST important to me. I am not easy to trust people but I can tell you I do trust Rita and Digna and that's very important to me, I also will tell you any time I call with a question or for some recommendations, she always answers the phone and always very helpful and polite. Rita always helps with anything you need or anything she can do to help or she will find exactly what you need for you.
The help my mother and I receive has truly made our lives much easier. Thank you Rita and all the seniors helping seniors, you truly make a difference.

Seniors Helping Seniors (Long Island / Bay Shore region) has supported my elderly parents for over two years now... increasing their level of support with my parents' increasing needs. I feel tremendous gratitude for the quality of caring shown by every member of their team. The bottom line: Mom and Dad are able to continue living comfortably in their home, even with advancing Parkinson's Disease (my Dad age 88) and severe short-term memory loss (my mom age 79). They are able to get out into the community via the logistical, physical, and emotional support provided by wonderfully giving aides such as Marvia and Rose--who now alternate living in my parents' home 24/7. The wonderful Director of Operations, Rita, is extremely responsive to calls and concerns... and even more importantly, is always proactively monitoring my parents' needs and looking to stay ahead of them. Raj, the owner, is a compassionate and efficient person in every business and insurance-related transaction, and he offers flexibility, warmth, and strong communication to help make everything work for everyone. This organization is a true service to families on Long Island struggling with the effects of aging and the challenges of limited resources.
