Somers Library

I’ve always appreciated having a quiet, reliable space at this library — especially for my online classes. A couple of months ago, I reserved the study pods as usual. Unfortunately, when it came time to wrap up, another patron started knocking on the door, looking just as confused as I was. Turns out, the pod had been double-booked by a staff member.

I had to leave abruptly without even being able to save my work — not exactly the “quiet study experience” I’d reserved. It’s taken me a while to come back after that. If the staff plan to overbook study pods, basic courtesy would go a long way.

Great Library and location. I've been going since I was a child, and now my son goes there. It has a place and a book for the youngest to the oldest reader in town. The kids section even has toys to interact with. Plus they have computers and printers incase yours ran out of ink and you need something in a hurry. It also hosts a number of events for kids and adults through out the month. As a bonus, it's right near the park (playground) so the kids can get their wiggles out after they had to be calm and quiet 😎 There's even a snack station as you enter the playground, incase you stay longer than you thought and need something to hold you over. The best part is There's so much parking, you can first park near the Library then drive over closer to the park. All in all, a great place to be.

Great place to bring your kids. The child’s library and librarian is wonderful. They have computers, learning toy/tools, and a great array of ways to find books for new through experienced readers.

They also have lists of grade appropriate summer reading with little incentivizing rewards.

The library itself has an absolute plethora of features and things available to take out such as telescopes, birding tools, annual tickets to most places in Westchester.

It’s an incredible resource.

We love this library. Their kids room has everything we want, always clean, organized and helpful staff is always around. They have these display cases that kids can bring stuff in and display it for a month...it is so wonderful - we will do it next month.
