Having a loved one pass away is a challenging time and the team at Straub Catalano & Halvey were very supportive in helping us through the process. Bill was very respectful, knowledgeable and aware of our customs. There were some cultural things I hadn't thought about that Bill had arranged and handled for us. Last rites are important and I am grateful we had Bill and the team at SCH at our side.

Straub Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home was the funeral home that we used when our maternal grandmother passed away. Bill was the person who assisted us throughout the entire process. He was kind, simple-sweet-to the point, and extremely accommodating. Bill would be available to assist me and answer questions at any time I needed, catered to our cultural/religious requests without a single complaint, and made the entire process efficient and easy. No one wants to think about this, but if I ever need to arrange funeral arrangements for a family member or friend in the future, i would very much like to go through Bill and the team at Straub Catalano & Halvey.

When our mother passed away, we knew we wanted to have her funeral arrangements provided by Straub, Catalano & Halvey, because our father's arrangements had been handled there 25 years ago. Our experience, now with our mom, under the care of funeral directors Kristin Catalano and Bill Halvey, was professional, caring and comforting. We were so impressed and pleased with their attention to all our needs and requests. There were several emails to them at all hours concerning the arrangements, that were very promptly responded to. Bill and Kristin gave our mom everything she wished for in her visitation, funeral Mass and burial. During the Mass and burial, they comforted the family by taking control in a kind and compassionate way, so we were not overwhelmed at any point.

It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one. The staff at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral home made my fathers funeral a lovely memory. From the first phone call on the night of his passing to the weeks after his funeral, Bill Halvey (funeral home director) was a kind presence to our family.
The staff is professional, thoughtful, patient and consoling. The funeral home director was very helpful and accommodating in our time of sorrow. He took us through each step of the planning process in a slow and understanding manner. Bill and his staff made sure that my fathers wake and funeral were as unique and special as he was. Bill went out of his way and payed special attention to detail; he even suggested my fathers outer burial container be painted orange, my dad's favorite color.
The home itself is modern, elegant and tasteful. They managed to capture my father's look from a younger, healthier time. He looked at peace, this made my family happy.
The whole experience at Straub, Catalano & Halvey was a great one. They made an incredibly difficult time much easier on us. My family and I are ever so grateful to have Bill and his staff be a part of our last memory of our father. The memory is a beautiful one that won't soon be forgotten.
