The White Whale

The White Whale Has Long been a staple to those of us who’ve lived in Seaford for 50+ years. Of course, it started off as another name but the White Whale Is well known on the Southshore. It’s recently had a transformation and new ownership bringing a new vibe, specialty drinks, and an array of seafood and comfy foods. The bar is large and well stocked with a great Mixology on the premise… We had Jenny as our waitress who was amazing. We had specialty cocktails prior to Ordering appetizers, soups, and finally dinner. There was no room for dessert, but they had plenty on the menu.! We were not rushed and the restaurant did fill up and had bar activity. Just left the restaurant and felt compelled to write a review. The ambience was perfect tonight--super brisk outside but the seat next to the fireplace with a seasonal cocktail in hand warmed me up immediately! The service (waitresses, hostess and busboys) was impeccable. Food, the main draw, was delicious! We started with salads which were generous portions loaded with fresh ingredients. For the mains, we had a fra diavolo seafood pasta and fish tacos--both super fresh and well prepared with just the right amount of kick in the fra diavolo. Looking forward to going back again soon. Hope this place does well because summer visits to that spot will be incredible!

Went yesterday as a group of 5 for an early happy hour in the bar and then outside on the sun drenched deck for dinner. The waitstaff is amazing - bartender, waitress and bus boy. All kind, attentive and very professional. Everything we ordered from the martini to cocktails and pretzel sticks were excellent and all our dinners (especially those amazing fries) were delicious. From the baked clams, to the daily special, lobster roll and on to the swordfish tacos. Will definitely be back after such a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Had the fish and chips and carrot cake for dessert. Came with my husband and infant daughter and they were so friendly. Jenny was our server. Prompt service. My husband had the double smash burger. The food was incredibly good. Will definitely be frequenting this place! Very clean! Big restrooms equipped with changing tray and toilet and urinal in each restroom.

We first went there on opening night and although the place looked amazing the menu and service was a bit in flux so decided to wait a little bit before leaving my review. Happy to say we went back today and everything was great!

The apps were delicious as we had the incredible baked clams and the fried clam bahn mi sandwich . For our main course my husband and I both got the ribs and they were mouth watering. Great smoky flavor and very tender. This will be out new local hangout
