Heading to the city from upstate and we were able to find this place along the way.
Fast, friendly service and the food was relatively good. If I was in the area, I would eat here again..
Service was good and the overall atmosphere was pleasant, however, the food was not you to par on any level. We had 2 coffees and order of French toast (3 pieces, so not the short stack) and my bf had the same with 2 eggs on the side. Before tax it was 38 and change. Coffee was very burnt and we weren't the only ones to notice but the French toast itself looked like they used the cheap store brand white bread. The first order was pretty burned, they replaced it with no issue. The second order was better but still not the typical "diner style* that we all know and love. Lol. Iykyk. The staff is friendly the place is clean and so are the bathrooms. My point is I dont think the price is good for what your getting (probably because it's so close to the woodbury commons). There are for sure worse places but if you can help it, go elsewhere.
FYI. They do have some gluten free options!
Love this diner, whenever I'm in the area and hungry the kids & I stop in, service is top notch!! They NEVER disappoint, food is always 100% & the holiday ambiance always gives that nostalgia feeling it's the absolute best!!
If you like family owned diners this one is it. Menu is very large and not the huge overbearing menu. Staff is friendly and all seem related but all knowledgeable. Food was fresh and served quickly. Large cake and pie display and all home baked. They also have a milkshake menu that looked delicious.
We were in town for an event and stopped for dinner. Our son's French toast was cold. We told the waitress who didn't seem to pleased, but took the dish back. She returned with new French toast, but it was bland and the eggs were obviously not mixed in well. The potatoes with my omlette were slightly cold, as was the omlette. I also ordered rye bread and received overcooked white bread. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience.
