Varney's Restaurant

I went here for the first time yesterday. It doesn’t look like much when you drive by but there were lots of cars. A good indicator that the locals approve. What a fantastic come as you are friendly place. We got shrimp cocktail appetizer, a fried flounder sandwich, seafood bisque, a beer ( good assortment) and surprisingly a great Bloody Mary. Staff was so friendly and happy to answer our questions, seemed to know the regulars but treated us just as well. Staff worked well together all doing what was needed. Prices were very reasonable. No need to dress up. Just go and be glad you did!

I love seafood. Traveled and lived all across America, Europe, and Japan. Varney's is a total hidden gem. The service is friendly and welcoming. The place extremely cozy and welcoming. Now the star of the show is the food. We ordered baked clams, mussels, and lobster roll. I was impressed with the freshness and taste. Never judge a book by its cover. Like many other reviewers,
Varney's is one of those places you want to share with everyone and hope it's only there for you. I urge you to come share this experience with this family owned restaurant. I will be back when visiting Long Island.

I’ve been wanting to go here forever since I always pass it. The place is cute and cozy with plenty of outdoor seating. We decided to sit outside. Service was great. I ordered the lobster roll, cold. It was fantastic. I definitely wanna come back and get it again. My fiancé got the burger and he says it was delicious. The menu had plenty of good options, so we’ll definitely be back.

The food was delicious as you can see I finished mine I had the lobster roll ( hot ) my first time trying it and I would get it again ( recommend you try it ) the drinks was good . Overall it was a good eat as my first time there . The waitress was very attentive and polite and sweet . If you haven't tried this place you should ❣️💯💯

Had a wonderful time at this little gem after strawberry picking at Glover Farms. The fish sandwich was terrific and the atmosphere was quaint. The service was kind and attentive, and informed us this place has been around for 42 years! We will be back!
