Whitby Castle

I had my dream wedding at Whitby Castle. Every detail was executed beautifully. The Maitre d, Ralph went above and beyond for our special day. He was responsive throughout and cared for our wedding as if he knew us. From the food to flow of the rooms (ceremony and reception spaces) everything was done beautifully. The team was accommodating to my needs wanting to come earlier to prep items, etc. The Bridal Attendant, Rosa, was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the day. She was so on top of things and helping me. Ralph and Rosa are the best! I highly recommend Whitby Castle as a wedding venue!

My husband and I got married 9.13.25. Everyone had an amazing time. Whitby is absolutely beautiful, the food was great and the service was excellent. Ralph, Niki and Rosa were so helpful. Ralph was on a marathon of weddings that weekend and you’d never know. He was on top of it all.

My husband and I got married on July 26, 2025, and we couldn’t have imagined the day going any better! From the moment we took the first tour, up until our special day - Whitby Castle impressed us during our entire experience. The venue made our planning incredibly easy - we were basically done with it right after booking our wedding. The Whitby Castle offered us a vendor package, which included their top florist, DJ, photographer, and bakery (for the wedding cake). This made it incredibly easy for us, since we didn’t have to interview any of the vendors (the vendors had great reviews, so we were comfortable with choosing them). Side note - we were very happy with our vendors on the day of the wedding, so the vendor package was a really great value-add from the Whitby Castle.

We mainly communicated with Niki from the very beginning of our experience. She was incredibly responsive and helpful. About a month before the wedding, we met our maitre d’, Ralph, who planned the schedule for our wedding day. He was also incredibly responsive, and fulfilled every request that we had. He made the day run by so smoothly - all of our guests were very impressed. The best part of the wedding was that Ralph and our bridal attendant made sure that my husband and I had a few moments alone, and we were well-fed. I always heard about how the bride and groom are always too busy to eat on their wedding day - well, that’s not the case at the Whitby Castle. We had time to eat and try every dish that was served (which, by the way, the food at the venue is INCREDIBLE!). Overall, our experience was perfect, and we wouldn’t change anything about it. Thank you, Ralph, Niki, and the rest of the Whitby Castle team. We will be forever grateful for your hard work and for making our day so special.

I’ve photographed a few weddings at Whitby Castle and always look forward to going back. The bridal suite is one of my favorites — spacious, great light, and so many good angles for portraits. Whether couples choose to have their ceremony indoors or outside, both setups are beautiful, which makes it an ideal rain-day venue too. The castle setting is perfect for anyone drawn to that romantic, historic vibe without it feeling too over the top. There’s plenty of room for dinner and dancing, the food is solid, and the staff has always been kind, responsive, and on top of things. A very reliable and photogenic venue! Definitely recommend to all couples planning to get married in this area.

Every time we photograph a wedding at Whitby Castle, it's a real treat. The castle and the property are stunning and the food is always delicious. Our favorite thing about the venue is the ceremony set with the castle as a backdrop.
