Yorktown Assisted Living Residence

My Aunt moved in several months ago and it required ALOT of moving parts to be coordinated. The Director Melissa was absolutely amazing in helping to facilitate all of this. In the time since moving in my Aunt has transitioned very well thanks to the excellent staff at Yorktown. The aides, nurses, and other staff have made her feel welcome and have provided great care. I am extremely happy we chose Yorktown.

After a few years in Assisted Living in upstate NY, my cousin’s dementia worsened and we were told that she needed Memory
Care, which they did not have at her facility.
I began looking at Facilities with Memory Care Units
In Westchester County and stumbled upon Yorktown Assisted Living. The moment I walked in, I felt a warm vibe and was impressed with the energy and involvement of the staff with the
Residents.
Melissa and Sandra helped get my cousin transferred quickly and
Helped cut through the onerous paperwork required in New York
State. They were a tremendous help. I had great support while going through a difficult process.
Upon her arrival in Yorktown, my cousin was warmly welcomed and
Adjusted to Memory Care with the help of a very hands-on Staff
Who keep everything running smoothly and make a difficult operation look easy.
Everyone is very attentive to the residents and my cousin participates in a nice variety of activities daily. The food is very good and she looks forward to meals.
Yorktown Assisted Living is not as fancy as some of the big chain
Assisted Living Facilities, but it is immaculately clean and the
Staff is genuine and caring. Now that Spring has arrived, I am
Very appreciative of the lovely enclosed garden in Memory Care
Unit. I highly recommend Yorktown Assisted Living

We highly recommend Yorktown Assisted Living Residence. They have been wonderful for our family as our Mom needed to transition from independent living.
Initially, Mom needed to move to Assisted Living. Throughout that process the team at YALR was extremely supportive and helped guide us through the process. Unfortunately shortly after Mom moved into Assisted Living she needed to be moved to Memory Care. Once again everyone at YALR did everything they could to help us through the process. Today Mom lives in the Memory Care unit and is kept active, well fed, entertained and extremely well cared for.
Everyday the team at YALR helps Mom get dressed, takes care of her personal needs, makes sure she is happy and comfortable...and even makes her bed. In addition to the wonderful staff, the facility itself is wonderful too. It is modern, spacious, clean and well appointed. As tough as it is to know that our Mom needs an environment like this, we can't think of a better place for her to be.

My Father has lived in the memory care unit of Yorktown Assisted Living Residence for over a year and a half. I visit Dad a few days a week and I find the staff to be caring and dedicated. If I have questions, staff are available to talk with me and my questions and concerns are addressed. I truly appreciate the care he receives. At this stage of my Father’s life, I believe that he is truly in a good place.

It was a very heartbreaking and difficult decision to make. From the tour and staff helping me with the paperwork, to the setting up of his room, the compassion and expertise of Yorktown Assisted Living is exceptional.
The place is visually attractive. I especially like the 2 courtyards and the fireplace area. I have never seen any area dirty or messy. They have activities throughout the day. The staff is very attentive and caring.
My friends and family that have visited him, tell me how impressed they are with Yorktown Assisted Living. Especially the professionalism of the staff. It is a great comfort to me to know that I made the right choice placing my husband in their care.
