Automotive Revelations

First time at this place... had appt weeks before, then car got worse, was towed 2 days later, day before scheduled 9AM appt. Miscommunication led to root cause, steering fluid leak, not being addressed, but rather the pipe just fixed (caused by pressure built up from me pouring steering fluid with hole fix for 4-5 months).

I asked about the miscommunication and why the root cause wasn't addressed and how that happened since I physically stopped there weeks before and explained to the lady there and duplicated the 4-5 mo steering fluid leak to the tow driver to also relay. My car wasn't looked at until mid-afternoon (based on the $250ish bill and pick-up at 6PM, due to the miscommunication).

Work A+, but for the second half of the afternoon, every time I called I was greeted on the phone with Call Blocker and told by auto-message that my phone number is blocked.

Before I left that day, I even had scheduled an Oct 1 appt in person with Kyle to address more long-term fix (Kyle said this was temp fix due to lots of physical degradation and rot under my car - it's older).

I just called to discuss Oct 1 appointment and got the Call Blocker again.

I guess in this town you aren't allowed to address anything, including unintentional mistakes, without retribution.

I'll look for another mechanic farther out I guess... too bad cause I know this place has great reviews and the work, once Kyle was updated regarding the root of the problem by me over the phone around 3PM, is stellar... he is polite and nice and so was the lady there. It's too bad cause I thought I'd finally found an honest mechanic to go to.

He is still a really great honest mechanic, but not accepting accountability that there was a miscommunication regarding the root cause of my car being there and the delay in looking at it despite my previously scheduled 9AM appointment, then getting blocked on the phone is really upsetting and just unprofessional.

Advice: double and triple check that your concern has reached Kyle himself and be very clear about your schedule expectations (this may have partially been on me too, but since I had a 9AM appointment I thought that still stood).

All in all, thank you Kyle for fixing my car on the immediate issues. I'm back on the road and that's what really matters. My brother is in adv heart failure and I drive to Phili often to help him... this wouldn't have been able to happen this past weekend or I would've been charged an insane amount for unnecessary work elsewhere.

Communication = C-
Soft Skills / Professionalism (i.e. blocking my calls) = F

Kyle is honest, fair and knowledgeable. 1000% trustworthy and always does a great job. I very highly recommend.

Prompt attentive service and Friendly people.

Service costs are fair and there's no pressure to"fix this and repair that or Your wheels are going to fall off "'!

There is a charge for diagnosing the issue(s), but You receive a detailed description of the problem and a breakdown of the parts needed etc.

One thing that both My Wife and I Really appreciate is when We have suggestions and / or questions about the situation with Our vehicle, there is 2 -way dialogue regarding what the problem (s) might be.

We have found that the wait time for a service visit is one of the shortest among the auto repair shops in the area.

I have been using Automotive Revelations for over 10 yrs. When other shops say "We can't " Kyle and the guys at Automotive Revelations say "we can".
I have had to fix an exhaust manifold gasket on a couple trucks. Everytime i called Kyle at Automotive Revelations. He would say bring it in and we will take care of it.
As Kyle said, it was done.
Would recommend Automotive Revelations to anyone. They do all types of work on cars and trucks. Honest and trustworthy auto shop.

Kyle and his receptionist both provided excellent service! No complaints pleasure doing business with this automotive shop. Quality care, good value, timely service and local. I would recommend to my family, friends, coworkers and neighbors.
