After 30 years of being loyal to Gringeri Family Medicine, (even after his Bensalem location closed and I had to travel further to Newtown to see him), I was advised via letter to find another physician since he is now refusing to treat me. I must be a horrible patient you say? Not at all. I’ve always had a friendly relationship with the staff and Dr. G ..making them smile and laugh during our conversations and visits. However, recently I wanted to make an appointment for renewal of my medical marijuana card and was told he no longer does that. I was never advised and it was said matter-of-factly. I at least expected a letter or phone call stating such and I asked the person I spoke to to relay that and the fact I was upset he stopped without notice. In return, I received a letter stating that Dr. Gringeri no longer wished to see me as a patient. Really? After 30 years without incident? Well, I should have seen the flag on the wall when I used to visit his other office and was made to wait hours in the waiting room. Then, once in the room, another hour. I was so sick I fainted on the floor. No excuse! And there is NO excuse for refusing to treat a patient after 30 years of loyalty. Shame on you Dr. Gringeri. A doctor is supposed to have compassion and I am the patient …the backbone of your business. Your staff is supposed to provide calmness and service… called Customer Service …not stir up animosity. I don’t know what exactly was relayed to you but I wonder if the fact that I called back to both apologize for saying the word “pissed” and ask for a referral for renewal of my medical card made it to you. More than shock I am hurt .. hurt that 30 years of a patient-doctor relationship is over. Apparently this is a habit as I read other reviews. I thought Dr. Gringeri was a nice person. He is not.
I moved from central Bucks County several years ago, yet I still reflect back on the exceptional care I always received from Dr Louis Gringeri, my former primary doctor. I consistently found him to be very professional and knowledgeable, and he reliably conducted his diagnoses and treatments with discernment and sound judgement. Dr Gringeri’s highly attentive and compassionate manner made me feel heard and understood and confident that he was sincerely invested in my health and well-being. When I moved out of state and searched for a primary doctor, I couldn’t help but compare the others to him. Frankly, many fell short, and I will always appreciate and miss Dr Gringeri’s care.
I have been using Dr. Gringeri as my PCP for over 20 years. He and his office staff are ALWAYS friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable. I am so thankful there are still amazing doctors like him in the world. I went for my flu shot today and his office staff told me he is not accepting Co-pays at this time in hopes that his patients will donate that money to victims of the recent hurricane in Puerto Rico and/or the victims of the recent events in Las Vegas. I will always recommend him to friends and family!
Dr.Gringeri has been my Primary Care for a year now. He's always super friendly, and knowledgeable. When I first came, Dr.Gringeri got me off a medication I was taking from a wrong diagnoses by another doctor. I never really had any problems with the staff, they seemed very busy at times but were always polite and apologetic if any mishap happened, which happens at every doctor's office from time to time. I understand they don't have a quick online appointment system and is more old school in terms of administrative procedures and billing, but if I can rely on a doctor, I don't see why anything else would matter. I drive 30 minutes from Center City to see him at the Bensalem office, bc I find big hospital doctor's are great for surgery and big procedures but can be dismissive unless you have serious issues. Dr.Gringeri is one of the most personable and competent doctor I've seen.
