I cannot say enough good things about Cammisa’s Garage in Shelton. I called several garages today to ask about an oil change, brake pads, and possibly rotors. I had not scheduled an appointment in advance because when I bought my car a few months ago in Meriden, I was told the brake pads had been replaced. While driving today, I realized that was not true. I could hear the rotors grinding and wanted to address the issue before it became worse.

Most of the shops I called either did not answer the phone or said they might be able to take a look between jobs. There was no guarantee I would have my car back in time to get to work the next day. Cammisa’s Garage was recommended to me by word of mouth, and from the very first phone call, I understood why.

Nico answered the phone and was immediately pleasant and professional. That alone stood out. Many of the other shops I contacted were short and rushed. Nico took the time to listen, gathered all my information, and confidently told me he could look at the car and likely fix it the same day.

When I walked in, I was greeted right away. Nico already had a quote prepared based on what we discussed on the phone. He had a genuine and reassuring presence. The environment felt very different from other mechanic shops. It was warm, welcoming, and people oriented. I have never seen a mechanic shop with such a clean front desk and waiting area.

Within about 30 minutes of dropping off the car, Nico called to confirm exactly what we suspected. He also reiterated the cost we had already discussed. There were no surprises. Between his friendliness, transparency, and how quickly he took action, I am truly amazed by the level of service.

I have not even picked up my car yet, and I am already confident I found my go-to garage. This is not just another mechanic shop. Cammisa’s truly sets the standard.

These guys did a great job on my 2018 silverado 1500, they did a full driveline fluid change. changing the fluid in the transmission, cleaning the screen and filters. Changed the fluid in the transfer case and both differentials. Had the truck back in a very reasonable time frame for a fair price. Would highly recommend. Good honestly people!

Cammisas Garage is honestly one of the best shops I have ever been to. From the minute I walked in, everyone was friendly and actually seemed happy to help. Nico is incredible. He took the time to explain what was going on with my car in a way that made sense and never made me feel pressured or rushed. The mechanics here really know what they are doing and you can tell they take pride in their work. My car was finished quicker than I expected and the price was more than fair compared to other places I have tried in the past. It is rare to find a shop that is honest, professional, and truly cares about doing right by their customers but this place hits all of that. I am really glad I found them and this will absolutely be the only garage I use from now on. Highly recommend to anyone looking for real quality and real people who stand behind their work.

NICO!!! Thank you!!!!!!! I would give this place 100 stars if I could! I had a locking lug nut that would not come off because the key was stripped. I called and he said come down. They would take care of it for free. Firestone wanted to charge me $94 to take the one lug nut off. I went down. They took all four locking lug nuts off for me, so that I could have access to all my tires, and they didn’t charge me a penny!!! This is my new shop to go to!! Trustworthy, stuck to their word, didn’t try to find something else wrong with my car. They just did what I asked, and they didn’t charge me anything. How much better can you get?! They sell cars as well my old roommate has a CRV she bought 8 years ago and it’s still going strong!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!! Thank you to all the mechanics there who are so dedicated to the work they do. It’s called PRIDE! And I’m proud of the work they do! If I need anything this is the place I’m calling!!
