Have a short scale bass and was missing a tuning knob and needed new strings Bob found a tuning knob and set of bass strings and got me back on track ,great place to deal with
Bob was great to deal with, he was very informative on the phone and seemed truly passionate about his work. I decided to bring in my 7 String for a fret grind/polish - this guitar is a beast, locking trem system and stainless steel frets. I play with the lowest action I can get away with I was thrilled with Bob's work, the frets are so smooth and I cant find a low/high spot anywhere, he also cleaned up the fret ends
Highly recommend. \../-_-\../
Great shop and great luthier. Brought a newly purchased guitar to Bob for a set up, got it home and played for a few days. Decided some things were not exactly how I wanted them. He said to come back in and he would tweak it to my requirements. Bob took the time to explain how certain aspects of a set up effect tone and play-ability. Did the tweaks at no extra charge, I couldn't be happier with the service provided.
Bob knows his stuff and the shop is pretty cool for vintage gear. I will be recommending him to all of my friends/family that play.
My first guitar needed a complete fret replacement. A 1966 Guild . So who do you take it to? It only takes one word Experience. After talking to Bob on the phone, I knew he would and did a great job. Don't be fooled by a small shop. This Luthier is an expert. I am quite pleased with his work.
Bob has setup my 2000 Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster twice. The first time was with a floating bridge and the second time I asked him to change it to a fixed bridge setup with a heavier string gauge (from 9's to 11's). He also setup of my 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard after I purchased it from eBay. In both cases the guitars play and sound fantastic. I plan to bring both back to him for setups, maintenance, or repairs. Thank you, Bob
