I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Ed at his physical therapy office. I called just a few hours before closing on a Saturday because I was dealing with excruciating back pain, and Ed went out of his way to squeeze me in that same day. He spent well over an hour with me—walking me through exercises, explaining everything clearly, and giving me a game plan that actually worked.
By Monday, just 48 hours later, I was already feeling significantly better. He made time to see me again on Wednesday and Friday, so in less than a week I had three sessions and saw real results. What started as miserable, intense pain turned into major relief—and that speaks volumes.
His office is clean, easy to find, and has a very professional, welcoming vibe. Ed is knowledgeable, caring, and clearly passionate about what he does. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a physical therapist. Thank you again, Ed!
In late 2024, I sustained fractures and ligament damage in my left ankle. I went to Ed after 6 weeks of PT with another provider. My prior provider helped me rebuild some strength, however I still had immense pain and a lack of mobility in the ankle. After about a month with Ed, I was back to full health playing my sport at a high level. Ed has a wide range of expertise and uses a variety of tools which helped me get back to 100%. He takes a more hands on approach than my prior PT provider had, specifically using his patented tool to work away the pain areas. I recommend Ed to all my friends and family.
Over the years, I have had a variety of painful conditions for which physical therapy was recommended. Whether my pain was a result of a rotator cuff issue, back pain, a knee replacement or arthritis, each time I was confident that relief was only a matter of starting my physical therapy sessions with Ed McKiernan. Ed possesses an impressive depth of knowledge and experience which is evident in every session. He is not only skilled but also genuinely compassionate. He clearly explains the condition and patiently answers my unending questions. His encouragement and positive attitude have been a constant source of motivation, even during the most challenging phases of my recovery. I tell all my friends, if you need a physical therapist, I know who to call. Ed McKiernan of McKiernan Physical Therapy, 6 Armstrong Road, Shelton, Ct.
Dr Ed provided exceptional, empathetic care throughout my treatment, incorporating physical therapy, massage therapy, and personal training. He listened closely, tailored my therapy plan, and explained each step to ensure my comfort and understanding. He also created a unique massage tool that was amazing when used on my plantar fasciitis, calves, and shoulders. I highly recommend Dr Ed Mckiernan for outstanding, compassionate therapy.
I've been working with Ed to get some relief from my "tennis elbow" malady for over a month now. He is sympathetic, friendly, knowledgeable and has great perseverance. The building is clean and modern with plenty of parking. I have gone to PT at other establishments but have always felt like a "number" there - that is definitely not the case with MrKiernan Physical Therapy where a personalized approach is taken to help his clients. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to ease their pain and mobility.
