I had the most wonderful experience at Michaels Jewelers in Southbury while shopping for a meaningful and timeless Christmas gift for my son. Isabella, the store manager is absolutely wonderful. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and when an issue arose, she offered a solution which turned out to be better than the original at no extra cost or delay. Thanks to Isabella, this Christmas gift will be one my son treasures forever. I can’t recommend this store highly enough and I will certainly be returning for future occasions.

Several months ago, I had come in for a ring resize and prong retipping for my heirloom ring. Initially, I left my first visits to the store upset.

However, after my subsequent interactions, I’ve completely changed my stance on Michael’s jewelers again. After hearing about my experience, Nick and his jewelers went above and beyond to not just fix the ring, but to give it a full restoration so that I could wear my ring for decades, just like my mother had worn it.

Nick stayed in constant communication with me, offering to get the ring, calling to discuss the work needed, meeting with my parents twice to go over the ring and have their approval of work done, and overnighting the ring to me. When dealing with the sentimental piece of jewelry, he navigated my, as well as my parents, attachments to it.

I’ve edited my original review in light of these subsequent interactions and do feel that Michael’s rose to their promise of giving exceptional service to every customer.

I came in for a resize of a family heirloom wedding ring to use as my own engagement ring and was met with comments about how I should consider upgrading to a diamond or a "more expensive" stone and that it wasn't a very expensive ring. After I received the ring back, the sapphire was cracked and it was difficult to negotiate a replacement stone. After some back and forth, they agreed to replace it for free.

A month later, when the ring came back again, there was some confusion about payment. The second stone had an inclusion that made the ring look cracked in half and the diamonds were loose.

First time visiting Michaels Jewelers in Southbury. Tamara fixed my daughter’s watch. And Yasmin offered to clean my wedding band and ring while I waited. They made me comfortable and so kind. Highly recommend stopping in the store. Thank you Michaels Jewelers for hiring such great people to run your store.

I recently found Michael’s Jewelers and decided to stop in to get a ring re-sized. Besides how easy + quick it was to get my ring fixed, everyone who works here is so sweet and helpful. Plus they have a huge selection of unique estate jewelry at a great price, they even cleaned my rings while I shopped around. What a great addition to southbury!!! Definitely stop by for all of your jewelry needs.
